Abstrak beberapa satwa endemik indonesia ialah ular piton dan ular kobra yang merupakan hewan yang harus dijaga kelestariannya. malayopythonreticulatus adalah salah satu reptil raksasa terpenting didunia yang memiliki letak persebaran geografis mayoritas berasal dari pulau sumatera dan borneo, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat total eritrosit kadar hemoglobin dan nilai hematokrit pada ular sanca kembang (malayopython reticulatus) lokal sumatera. jumlah sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah 5 ekor ular sanca kembang (malayopython reticulatus) lokal sumatera yang berasal dari pematang siantar. pengambilan sampel darah dilakukan melalui vena ventral coccygeal. pada penelitian ini menggunakan ular dewasa sehat. sampel darah dimasukkan ke dalam vacutainer tube yang sudah diberi antikoagulan ethylene diamaine tetraacetic acid dan pemeriksaan total eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin dan nilai hematokrit ular sanca kembang (malayopython reticulatus) lokal sumatera di laboratorium klinik fakultas kedokteran hewan universitas syiah kuala. hasil penelitian didapatkan total eritrosit rata-rata 1,54×106 /μl, kadar hemoglobin rata-rata 9,82g/dl, dan nilai hematokrit rata-rata 32,2%. kata kunci :ular,malayopythonreticulatus,eritrosit, kadar haemoglobin, nilai hematokrit, sumatera.



Abstract

ABSTRACT Some of Indonesia's endemic animals are pythons and cobras, which are animals that must be preserved. Malayopython reticulatus is one of the most important giant reptiles in the world which has a geographical distribution where the majority comes from the islands of Sumatra and Borneo. This study aims to determine the total erythrocyte hemoglobin level and hematocrit value in the local Sumatran reticulated python (Malayopython reticulatus). The number of samples used in this study were 5 local Sumatran reticulated pythons (Malayopython reticulatus) originating from Pematang Siantar. Blood samples were taken through the ventral coccygeal vein. In this study, healthy adult snakes were used. Blood samples were put into a vacutainer tube that had been given EDTA anticoagulant and total erythrocyte examination, hemoglobin levels and hematocrit values of local Sumatran reticulated pythons (Malayopython reticulatus) in the Clinical Laboratory of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Syiah Kuala University. The results showed that the average total erythrocytes was 1.54×106 /μL, the average hemoglobin level was 9.82g/dL, and the hematocrit value was 32.2% on average.
