Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efek imunostimulator ekstrak etanol rimpang alang-alang (imperata cylindrica l.) (eera) dan ekstrak etanol kulit batang jamblang (syzygium cumini l.) (eekbj) terhadap sel makrofag peritoneum mencit (mus musculus) yang diinduksi staphylococcus aureus secara in vitro. metode penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (ral) dengan 7 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. perlakuan terdiri dari penambahan imunostimulator stimuno (kontrol positif), posphate buffered saline (pbs) (kontrol negatif), penambahan masing-masing ekstrak uji dengan konsentrasi 0,1; 1,0; 10; 100; dan 1000 ppm. cairan peritoneal mencit yang telah diberi perlakuan dijadikan sediaan apusan menggunakan metode apusan darah tipis dan pewarnaan giemsa. parameter penelitian ini yaitu aktivitas dan kapasitas fagositosis makrofag. data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan anava dengan taraf signifikan 5% dan dilanjutkan dengan uji berganda duncan. hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian eera maupun eekbj berpengaruh nyata (p



Abstract

This research aimed to determine the immunostimulatory effect of the ethanol extract of Imperata cylindrica L. rhizome (EERA) and Syzygium cumini L. stem bark (EEKBJ) to macrophage cells of mice (Mus musculus) which infected by Staphylococcus aureus by in vitro. The research method used a completely randomized design with 7 treatments and 4 replications. Stimuno was used as a positive control, phosphate buffered saline (PBS) was used as a negative control, each test extract with a concentration of 0.1; 1; 10; 100; and 1000 ppm. The peritoneal fluid of the mice that had been treated was made into a smear using the thin blood smear method and Giemsa staining. The parameters of this research were activity and phagocytosis capacity of macrophages. The research data were analyzed by using ANOVA with a significant level of 5% and continued with Duncan's multiple test. The results showed that EERA and EEKBJ gave a significant effect (P
