Maulindawati, PENGARUH TRANSCEIVER TIDAK IDEAL TERHADAP KETERBATASAN KINERJA SISTEM KOMUNIKASI KOOPERATIF MULTI-HOP. Banda Aceh Fakultas Teknik Elektro,2022

Abstract

Cooperative communication systems on wireless networks are a hot topic of research in the field of telecommunications today. This is due to its superiority in expanding coverage areas, and quality of service. In general, research on cooperative communication systems only considers the ideal nature of a transceiver. But in practice, a transceiver has a hardware impairment in the form of distortion that causes a decrease in system performance. Distortion in the tranceiver that is not ideal can be caused by one or more of the following three factors: phase noise, inphase and quadrature imbalance (I/Q) or called I /Q imbalance, and High Power Amplifier (HPA). The study analyzed the effect of transceiver inaccuracies caused by the above three factors on the limitations of the performance of multi-hop cooperative communication systems with amplify-and-forward (AF) and decode and forward (DF) protocols through the Nakagami-m channel. Performance is analyzed using outage probability, throughput, and Error Vector Magnitude (EVM) parameters as parameters to determine basic performance limitations. The simulation results showed the performance of the multi-hop cooperative communication system in the form of outage probability and throughput with a transceiver is not ideal, can be increased by adding the number of hops using the AF protocol, with variable gain. In addition, the simulation results showed that the performance limitations of the cooperative communication system were limited by impairment levels in the form of EVM values in transceivers. Keywords: Cooperative communication systems, Multi-hop, Impairment, Transceiver are not ideal, Amplify-and-Forward (AF), Decode and Forward (DF), Error Vector Magnitude (EVM).
