(2) dr. siti sarah fitriani, ma. kata kunci: nilai karakter, buku bacaan, literasi penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai karakter dalam buku bacaan literasi. penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. sumber data dalam penelitian ini meliputi (1) buku cerita binatang kecil ajaib karya a.m. nanang, (2) buku cerita bersahabat dengan bencana alam karya sri handayaningsih, dan (3) buku cerita legenda danau kembar karangan pinto anugerah, sedangkan data penelitian ini terdiri dari kalimat, paragraf, atau dialog yang terdapat dalam ketiga sumber data itu. analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis kualitatif deskriptif. hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam buku bacaan literasi cerita binatang kecil ajaib meliputi nilai karakter religius, demokratis, kreatif, tanggung jawab, bersahabat/komunikatif, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, dan cinta tanah air; (2) nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam buku bacaan literasi cerita legenda danau kembar meliputi nilai karakter kerja keras, bersahabat/komunikatif, sopan santun, rasa ingin tahu, jujur, berani, mandiri, berpikir logis peduli lingkungan dan peduli sosial; dan (3) nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam buku bacaan literasi cerita bersahabat dengan bencana alam meliputi nilai karakter religius, disiplin, berpikir logis, peduli lingkungan, dan cinta tanah air.

This research uses qualitative method with descriptive approach. Data sources in this study include (1) the storybook of Binatang Kecil Ajaib by A.M. Nanang, (2) the storybook Bersahabat dengan Bencana Alam by Sri Handayaningsih, and (3) the storybook of Legenda Danau Kembar by Pinto Anugerah, while the data of this research consists of sentences, paragraphs, or dialogues contained in the three data sources. Data analysis is carried out with descriptive qualitative analysis techniques. The results of this study showed that (1) value of characters contained in the literacy reading book of Binatang Kecil Ajaib include the value of religious, democratic, creative, responsible, friendly communicative characters, environmental care, social care, and love of the motherland; (2) value of characters contained in the literacy reading book of Bersahabat dengan Bencana Alam include the value of hard work characters, friendly / Communicative, manners, curiosity, honesty, courage, independent, blogical thinking care for the environment andsocial care; and (3) value of characters contained in the literacy reading book of Legenda Danau Kembar include the value of religious character, discipline, logical thinking, environmental care, and love of the homeland.
