Penelitian ini membahas tentang bagaimana persepsi mahasiswa terhadap komunikasi antarpribadi dosen dan mahasiswa dalam proses bimbingan skripsi. tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui komunikasi antarpribadi dosen dan mahasiswa dalam bimbingan skripsi dan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menjadi kendala bagi mahasiswa dalam berkomunikasi dengan dosen pembimbing skripsi pada prodi ilmu komunikasi di usk. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. analisis dilakukan berdasarkan model komunikasi sirkuler oleh wilbur schram yang mengacu pada umpan balik yang terjadi antara mahasiswa maupun dosen sehingga proses komunikasi berjalan terus menerus dalam jangka waktu tertentu. teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi antarpribadi dosen dan mahasiswa terjalin dengan berbagai bentuk gaya komunikasi, yaitu gaya pasif, agresif, dan asertif. dosen dan mahasiswa juga mengalami kendala dalam proses bimbingan skripsi, yaitu proses komunikasi yang hanya didominasi oleh dosen (satu arah) dan intensitas pertemuan yang tidak maksimal. penelitian ini diharapkan berguna bagi mahasiswa, agar dapat menjalin komunikasi dengan baik terhadap dosen pembimbing sehingga dapat menyelesaikan tugas penyusunan skripsi sesuai dengan jadwal yang telah ditentukan. kata kunci: komunikasi antarpribadi, gaya-gaya komunikasi, bimbingan skripsi.

This study discusses how students’ perceptions of interpersonal communication between lecturers and students in the thesis guidance process. The purpose of this study was to determine the interpersonal communication of lecturers and students in thesis guidance and to find out the factors that became obstacles for students in communicating with the thesis supervisor in the Communication Studies Study Program at USK. This study uses a qualitative approach. The analysis was carried out based on the Circular Communication Model by Wilbur Schram which refers to feedback than occurs between students and lecturers so that the communication process runs continuously within a certain period of time. Data collection techniques in this study using interviews. The results showed that interpersonal communication between lecturers and students is intertwined with various forms of communication styles, namely passive, aggressive, and assertive styles. Lecturers and students also experience obstacles in the thesis guidance process, namely the communication process which is only dominated by the lecturer (one way) and the intensity of the meeting is not optimal. This research is expected to be useful for students, so that they can establish good communication with their supervisors so that they can complete the task of preparing the thesis according to a predetermined schedule.
