Daerah penangkapan ikan adalah wilayah perairan dimana ikan yang didapat dalam jumlah yang maksimal. penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memetakan daerah potensial penangkapan ikan di perairan utara aceh berdasarkan data suhu permukaan laut dan klorofil-a. data suhu permukaan laut (sst) dan klorofil-a diperoleh dari citra satelit aqua modis dan diekstraksi menggunakan generic mapping tools (gmt) dan visual studio code (vcs). suhu permukaan laut pada lokasi fishing ground diekstraksi dan dihitung mean dan standar deviasinya. untuk validasi daerah potensial penangkapan ikan digunakan metode rapid appraisals of fisheries management system (rafms). kuesioner disebar ke empat lokasi penelitian, yakni lhoknga, ulee lheue, alue naga, dan lampulo. kesimpulan dari penelitian ini melalui kuesioner terdapat 4 daerah penangkapan ikan potensial yang divalidasi dan dibagi menjadi dua jenis kapal, yaitu kapal one-day fishing dan non-one-day fishing. daerah potensial penangkapan ikan untuk kapal one day fishing terletak antara 5⁰62'99” lu - 95⁰29'47” bt dan 5⁰48'75” lu - 95⁰07'37” bt, sedangkan daerah potensial penangkapan ikan untuk kapal non one day terletak antara 5⁰50'97” lu - 95⁰03'66” bt dan 5⁰87'63” lu - 94⁰97'59” bt. berdasarkan analisis statistik deskriptif dengan menggunakan persamaan standar deviasi menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai suhu permukaan laut adalah 30,69 c dan nilai simpangan bakunya adalah ±0.245⁰c, artinya data kurang bervariasi karena nilai simpangan baku lebih kecil dari pada nilai rata-rata. kata kunci: daerah potensial penangkapan ikan, rapid appraisals of fisheries management system, suhu permukaan laut, klorofil.

Abstract
The fishing area is an area where the fish are caught in the maximum number. This research was assessed in order to map the potential fishing areas at the northern waters of Aceh based on sea surface temperature and chlorophyll-a data. Sea surface temperature (SST) and chlorophyll-a data were obtained from Aqua Modis satellite imagery and extracted using Generic Mapping Tools (GMT) and Visual Studio Code (VCS). The sea surface temperature at the potential fishing ground locations was extracted and calculated its mean and standard deviation. To validate the fishing ground potential areas, the Rapid Appraisals of Fisheries Management System (RAFMS) method was used. A set of questionaries was distributed to five fishing villages, i.e., Lhoknga, Ulee Lheue, Alue Naga, and Lampulo. This study concludes throughtout the questionnaire there are 4 potential fishing ground areas were validated and they were devided into two types of boats, i.e. one-day and non-one-day fishing. The potential fishing ground area for one-day fishing boats is located between of 5⁰62'99” N - 95⁰29'47” E and 5⁰48'75” N - 95⁰07'37” E, while the potential fishing ground location for non-one-day fishing is located at between 5⁰50'97” N - 95⁰03'66” E and 5⁰87'63” N - 94⁰97'59” E. Based on descriptive statistical analysis using the standard deviation equation shown that, the mean sea surface temperature is 30.69⁰C and the standard deviation is ±0.245⁰C, meaning that the data is less varied because the standard deviation value is smaller than the mean.
