The objective or this study is to analyze deeply some related theories and research findings on the use of jigsaw technique. the discussion is focused on jigsaw technique in leaching speaking in order on solve such problems; students had lack of vocabulary, students were on confident to speak and ashamed to talk in english with friends in the classroom. based on the discussion of the theories, it is found that jigsaw technique can be effectively used in teaching speaking because of its ability to solve the mentioned problems by running all of the procedures and activities of jigsaw which can build strong cooperation and personal relationship between the teacher and the students in order to make students enjoy their learning process. this technique also helps the students in improving their vocabulary, active in classroom and also can be the best way in building self confident. it is also found that the students can feel secured in learning english by using this technique through giving opportunity for them to speak english without a doubt. the method used in this study is library research. readings are obtained from various sources that are processed and described in a descriptive way. this study is expected to be useful for other english teachers.
