The main purpose of this study is 10 find out the problems in the implementation of tpr (total physical response) method in teaching vocabulary. in this method, one of the language areas taught is vocabulary. in doing this study. the writer used a descriptive qualitative research. this research was conducted in some elementary schools in nagan raya regency. the sample of this study was 9 english teachers from elementary school in nagan raya. in obtaining the data. the researcher used observation and questionnaire as the instruments of this study. through the instruments, the researcher found several problems that occur in teaching-learning process. among the problems found arc: less interaction between teacher-students and students-students, several teachers do not develop a fun situation of teaching- learning process, teachers did not give tolerance to the error of the students. etc.
