Abstrak sari, adha nola. 2021. penerapan model pembelajaran advance organizer pada pembelajaran ips siswa kelas viii smpn 1 kuta baro kabupaten aceh besar. skripsi, jurusan pendidikan sejarah, fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan, universitas syiah kuala. pembimbing : (1) nurasiah, s.pd., m.pd (2) sufandi iswanto, s.pd., m.pd kata kunci : model pembelajaran, ips, advance organizer penelitian ini pada dasarnya dilakukan guna menjawab permasalahan bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran advance organizer, apa saja kendala yang di hadapi guru, dan bagaimana respon siswa terhadap pada pembelajaran ips siswa kelas viii smpn 1 kuta baro kabupaten aceh besar. dengan menggunakan teori belajar dan pembelajaran, pembelajaran ips dan model pembelajaran advance organizer. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran advance organizer, apa saja kendala yang di hadapi guru, dan bagaimana respon siswa terhadap pada pembelajaran ips siswa kelas viii smpn 1 kuta baro kabupaten aceh besar. pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan observasi, post tes, dan wawancara. hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwasannya metode pembelajaran advance organizer sudah diterapkan dengan baik pada pelajaran ips kelas viii smpn 1 kuta baro, meskipun dengan berbagai kendala yang masih harus terus dihadapi oleh guru mata pelajaran ips tersebut. selanjutnya respon siswa terkait dengan penerapan model pembelajaran advance organizer juga sangat baik dan positif, sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih efektif dan aktif. kemudian terkait dengan saran dari peneliti, peneliti berharap bahwasannya model pembelajaran advance organizer dapat menjadi salah satu rujukan model pembelajaran karena dinilai efektif. waktu melaksanakan pembelajaran juga harus lebih diefektifkan kembali serta peneliti enyarankan sekolah harus menambah fasilitas proses pembelajaran ips seperti buku agar mempermudah siswa mencari bahan pelajaran.

Mentor: (1) Nurasiah, S.Pd., M.Pd (2) Sufandi Iswanto, S.Pd., M.Pd Keywords: Learning Model, Social Studies, Advance Organizer, This research was basically carried out to answer the problem that how to apply the Advance Organizer learning model, what were the obstacles faced by the teacher, and how the students responded to social studies learning for class VIII SMPN 1 Kuta Baro Aceh Besar District. By using learning and learning theory, social studies learning and the Advance Organizer learning model. This study aims to find out how to apply the Advance Organizer learning model, what obstacles are faced by teachers, and how students respond to social studies learning for class VIII SMPN 1 Kuta Baro Aceh Besar District. The approach in this research is a qualitative approach. This study uses observation, post-test, and interview collection techniques. The results of the study show that the Advance Organizer learning method has been well applied to social studies lessons for class VIII SMPN 1 Kuta Baro, although with various obstacles that still have to be faced by the social studies subject teacher. Furthermore, student responses related to the application of the Advance Organizer learning model were also very good and positive, so that learning became more effective and active. Then related to the suggestions from the researchers, the researchers hope that the Advance Organizer learning model can be a reference for the learning model because it is considered effective. Time to carry out learning should also be more streamlined and researchers suggest schools should add social studies learning process facilities such as books to make it easier for students to find learning materials.
