Telur ayam retak berpotensi menimbulkan terjadi kontaminasi salmonella sp. sehingga menyebabkan egg-borne disease. tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeteksi cemaran salmonella sp. pada telur ayam ras retak dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kontaminasi salmonella sp. dari tempat distributor telur di banda aceh. rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis observasi. pengambilan sampel telur dilakukan secara purposive sampling. sampel yang digunakan adalah telur ayam ras retak sebanyak 30 sampel dengan tiga kali pengulangan serta kuisioner dan wawancara untuk mendapatkan informasi terkait penjualan telur retak dari tempat distributor telur di banda aceh. hasil penelitan ini dianalisis secara deskriptif dan data responden dianalisis menggunakan uji odds ratio. hasil pengamatan terdapat delapan atau 26,7% sampel telur retak terkontaminasi oleh bakteri salmonella sp. dari 30 sampel yang diteliti. kata kunci : egg-borne disease, salmonella sp. dan telur retak

Cracked chicken eggs have the potential to cause contamination of Salmonella sp. thus causing egg-borne disease. The purpose of this study was to detect contamination of Salmonella sp. in cracked broiler eggs and the factors that influence the contamination of Salmonella sp. from an egg distributor in Banda Aceh. The design used is observational analysis. Egg sampling was done by purposive sampling. The samples used were 30 samples of cracked chicken eggs with three repetitions as well as questionnaires and interviews to obtain information related to the sale of cracked eggs from egg distributors in Banda Aceh. The results of this study were analyzed descriptively and respondents' data were analyzed us Odds Ratio test. The result of the observation was that eight or 26,7% samples of cracked eggs were contaminated with Salmonella sp. of the 30 samples studied.
