Dr. Mayenru Dwindra, PENGARUH PEMBERIAN GELATINE SPONGE TERHADAP ADHESI PERIDURAL PASCA OPERASI KRANIEKTOMI PADA TIKUS PUTIH (RATTUS NOVERGICUS). Banda Aceh Fakultas Kedokteran,2021

Abstract

ABSTRACT Craniotomy healing had adhesion complications with a percentage of 6.4%-13.7%. These complications increase the risk of surgery as well as complicate subsequent cranioplasty operations. Gelatine Sponge is an anti-haemostatic agent which also has an anti-adhesion effect. This study aims to determine the effect of giving gelatine sponge on the prevention of macroscopic and microscopic peridural adhesions after craniectomy of white rats (Rattus norvegicus). This type of research is a post-test only control group using 30 white rats which were divided into 2 groups, all rats were made with craniotomy defects, ar. Calvaria. The treatment group was given a gelatine sponge, while the control group was not given a gelatine sponge. Macroscopic and microscopic observations were observed on the 3rd, 9th and 27th days after treatment. The results of macroscopic and microscopic examination showed a decrease in the degree of adhesion and a significant decrease in the percentage of fibroblast differentiation compared to the control group (p < 0.05). The administration of gelatine sponge showed the degree of peridural adhesion based on macroscopic and microscopic observations (fibroblast differentiation) after craniectomy of white rats. Keywords: adhesion, fibroblast differentiation, gelatine sponge, craniectomy
