Abstrak ayam broiler merupakan jenis ternak dengan pertumbuhan sangat cepat, dan mudah dipelihara memiliki beberapa sifat unggul seperti tidak membutuhkan tempat yang luas dalam pemeliharan, pertumbuhan sangat cepat sehingga efisien dalam pengubahan ransum menjadi daging, dan bisa berproduksi optimal di daerah tropis. penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efek dari penambahan ampas kelapa fermentasi ke dalam ransum terhadap pertambahan bobot badan ayam broiler. penelitian dilakukan selama 35 hari dengan menggunakan 36 ekor day old chicken (doc). adapun rancangan penelitian berupa rancangan acak lengkap (ral) terdiri atas 6 perlakuan dan 6 kali pengulangan. kelompok p0 merupakan kontrol hanya diberikan ransum komersial 100%, kelompok p1 diberikan 10% ampas kelapa fermentasi ditambah 90% ransum komersial, p2 diberikan 20% ampas kelapa fermentasi, dan 80% ransum komersial, p3 diberikan 30% ampas kelapa fermentasi dan 70% ransum komersial, p4 diberikan 40% ampas kelapa fermentasi dan 60% ransum komersial, dan p5 diberikan 50 % ampas kelapa fermentasi dan 50% ransum komersial. data pertambahan bobot badan yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisys of variance (anova). hasil penelitian pertumbuhan bobot badan menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan nyata (p>0.05) pada penelitian minggu pertama, dan minggu kedua. pada minggu ketiga, keempat, dan kelima diperoleh hasil berbeda nyata (p0.05) untuk setiap perlakuan selama penelitian. adapun kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kombinasi ransum komersial dengan ampas kelapa fermentasi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertambahan bobot dan konsumsi ransum ayam broiler selama penelitian. kata kunci: ayam broiler, ampas kelapa, fermentasi, bobot badan, konversi ransum



Abstract

EFFECTS OF FERMENTED COCONUT DREGS (Cocos Nucifera L.) AS COMMERCIAL FEED COMBINATION ON BROILER CHICKEN PERFORMANCE ABSTRACT Broiler chicken is one of the fastest growing livestock, and very easy to nurture. It has several superiority characteristics, such as are not required a large area to breeding, fastest growth with the efficient result in converting rations into meat, and could optimally produce in tropical. This research aims to determined the effect of adding fermented coconut dregs to the ration on body weight gain of broiler chickens. The study was conducted for 35 days using 36 day old chickens (DOC). The research design was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 6 treatments and 6 repetitions. Group P0 was the control only given 100% commercial ration, group P1 was given 10% fermented coconut pulp plus 90% commercial ration, P2 was given 20% fermented coconut dregs, and 80% commercial ration, P3 was given 30% fermented coconut dregs and 70% ration commercially, P4 was given 40% fermented coconut pulp and 60% commercial ration, and P5 was given 50% fermented coconut dregs and 50% commercial ration. The body weight gain data obtained were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results showed that there was no significant difference (P>0.05) in the first week and second week of the study. In the third, fourth, and fifth weeks, the results were significantly different (P0.05) for each treatment during the study. The conclusion from this study is the combination of commercial ration with fermented coconut dregs had no significant effect on weight gain and consumption of broiler chicken rations during the study.
