Abstrak isfiana nursari. 2020. unsur-unsur sejarah dalam novel cut nyak dien: sebuah novel epik perang aceh karya sayf muhammad isa. tesis, program studi magister pendidikan indonesia, fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan universitas syiah kuala. pembimbing (1) prof. dr. mohd. harun, m.pd., pembimbing (2) dr. ramli, m.pd. kata kunci: unsur sejarah, novel, peristiwa sejarah penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran unsur-unsur sejarah (peristiwa, tempat kejadian, waktu kejadian, pelaku, latar belakang kejadian, bagaimana kejadian itu terjadi) dalam novel cut nyak dien: sebuah novel epik perang aceh karya sayf muhammad isa. sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel cut nyak dien novel epik perang aceh karya sayf muhammad isa dengan tebal 791 halaman dan diterbitkan oleh qanita pada 2015. data penelitian ini adalah kutipan-kutipan klausa dan kalimat yang berisi penanda-penanda unsur sejarah berwujud peristiwa (what), pelaku, (who), tempat terjadinya peristiwa (where), waktu kejadian (when), mengapa/latar belakang terjadinya kejadian (why), dan bagaimana mungkin kejadian itu terjadi (how). metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif. pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengunakan teknik dokumenter. berdasarkan analisi data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam novel cut nyak dien: sebuah novel epik perang aceh karya sayf muhammad isa terdapat unsur sejarah what (apa) sebagai wujud dari peristiwa yang digambarkan di dalam novel, who (siapa) sebagai wujud yang mengambarkan tokoh, when (kapan) sebagai latar waktu terjadinya, why (mengapa) sebagai sebab terjadinya peristiwa, where (di mana) sebagai wujud dari tempat atau lokasi terjadinya, dan how (bagaimana) sebagai proses terjadinya peristiwa sejarah. dari pembahasan yang telah dilakukan diketahui bahwa unsur sejarah tersebut sesuai dengan unsur sejarah yang disebutkan pada buku-buku sejarah maupun wikipedia. dengan demikian, novel cut nyak dien: sebuah novel epik perang aceh karya sayf muhammad isa sarat dengan unsur sejarah.

This study aims to describe the description of historical elements (events, place of occurrence, time of incident, perpetrator, background of the incident, how it happened) in the novel Cut Nyak Dien: An Epic Novel of the Aceh War by Sayf Muhammad Isa. The data source of this research is the novel Cut Nyak Dien Novel Epic Aceh War by Sayf Muhammad Isa with a thickness of 791 pages and published by Qanita in 2015. The data of this research are clause and sentence quotations that contain historical element markers in the form of events (what). , the perpetrator, (who), where the event occurred (where), the time of the incident (when), why / the background of the incident (why), and how it was possible (how). The method used is a qualitative method. This type of research is descriptive research. Data collection was carried out using documentary techniques. Based on the data analysis, the research results show that in the novel Cut Nyak Dien: Sebuah Novel Epik Perang Aceh by Sayf Muhammad Isa, there is a historical element of what (what) is a manifestation of the events depicted in the novel, who (who) is a form that describes the character, when (when) as the time setting for the occurrence, why (why) as the cause of the event, where (where) as a form of the place or location of the occurrence, and how (how) as the process of historical events. From the discussion that has been done, it is known that the historical elements are in accordance with the historical elements mentioned in history books and Wikipedia. Thus, the novel Cut Nyak Dien: An Epic Novel of the Aceh War by Sayf Muhammad Isa is full of historical elements.
