This study was conducted to find out the student's ability in reading comprehension. reading comprehension is important skill besides of other language skills such as listening, speaking and writing. to prove the hypothesis the writer conducted a research at sltpn 2 indrajaya pidie. the samples of this study were the second grade students. to obtain the data, the writer gave three kinds of test, there are multiple choice, essay items and true/false. after calculating the data by using frequency distribution formula, this study shows that five important parts of analyzing the data, the range scores, class interval, interval width, frequency distribution and mean scores. the result of the test shows that the mean scores is 64,7, interval class is 6, interval width is 7. the highest score is 85 and he lowest score of the students is 50. it can be concluded that the ability of the second year students of sltpn 2 lndrajaya pidie in reading comprehension on the criteria of value is enough.
