Ulkus traumatik merupakan ulserasi khas disertai hilangnya lapisan epitel melebihi jaringan basal. penggunaan kortikosteroid topikal dapat membantu mempercepat penyembuhan, namun obat ini memiliki efek samping seperti sensasi terbakar, gatal, dan lain sebagainya. ekstrak daun jamblang (syzygium cumini (l.) mengandung berbagai senyawa kimia penting, antara lain: flavonoid, alkaloid, tanin, dan fenol yang bermanfaat untuk mempercepat penyembuhan ulkus traumatik. tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas sediaan gel ekstrak daun jamblang (syzygium cumini (l.) terhadap penyembuhan ulkus traumatik pada mukosa oral. hasil analisis statistik menggunakan uji kruskal wal-lis menunjukkan rata-rata penyembuhan tertinggi secara berturut-turut berasal dari kelompok triamcinolone acetonide 0,1%, gel ekstrak daun jamblang (syzygium cumini (l.) 40%, 10%, 20%, dan terakhir oleh base gel. hasil uji mann-whitney menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan bermakna antara kecepatan penyembuhan pada kelompok kn (kontrol negatif) dibandingkan dengan kelompok kp (kontrol positif), kelompok p2 (gel 20%), dan kelompok p3 (gel 40%). disimpulkan bahwa gel ekstrak daun jamblang (syzygium cumini (l.) efektif terhadap penyembuhan ulkus traumatik pada mukosa oral tikus wistar dan efektivitas tertinggi berada pa-da konsentrasi 40 %. kata kunci: syzygium cumini (l.), ulkus traumatik, penyembuhan, mukosa oral, rattus norvegicus

Traumatic ulcers are distinctive ulcers with loss of the epithelial layer beyond the basal tissue. The use of topical corticosteroids can help to heal the wound faster, but the drugs have side effects such as burning sensation, itchy, and so on. Jam-blang leaves extract (Syzygium cumini (L.) contains various essential chemical compounds, including flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, and phenols which help to accelerate traumatic ulcers healing. The study aims to determine the effectiveness of the gel formulation of Jamblang leaves (Syzygium cumini (L.) extract on the heal-ing of traumatic ulcers in the oral mucosa. The statistical analysis results using the Kruskal Wallis test showed that the highest mean of healing came from the group of Triamcinolone acetonide 0.1%, Jamblang leaves extract gel (Syzygium cumini (L.), base gel 40%, 10 %, 20%, respectively. The results of the Mann-Whitney U test showed that there was a significant difference between the healing speeds in the NC (Negative Control) group was compared with the PC (Positive Control) group, P2 group (20% gel) and P3 group (40% gel). It concludes that Jamblang (Syzygium cumini (L.) leaf extract gel is effective for healing traumatic ulcers in the oral mu-cosa of Wistar rats, and the highest effectiveness is at a concentration of 40%.
