Abstrak buah naga merah (hylocereus costaricencis) (f.a.c.weber) britton & rose mengandung antosianin yang sangat baik dimanfaatkan sebagai pewarna alami. pewarna kuku cair peel off merupakan sediaan pewarna kuku yang mudah dikupas atau dibersihkan setelah pemakaian, sehingga telah dilakukan formulasi pewarna kuku cair peel off dari ekstrak air kulit buah naga merah (hylocereus costaricencis) (f.a.c.weber) britton & rose. kulit buah naga merah diekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut air dan asam sitrat 10% (1:6). hasil karakterisasi menunjukkan ekstrak air kulit buah naga merah memiliki kadar air sebesar 16,83 ± 0,76%, kadar sari larut air 44,16%± 2,08%, kadar sari larut etanol 19,16%± 1,44% dan kadar abu 6,83%± 2,51%. terhadap ekstrak yang diperoleh dilakukan penapisan fitokimia yang menunjukkan ekstrak air kulit buah naga merah memiliki kandungan senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, tanin dan triterpenoid. formulasi pewarna kuku cair peel off dibuat dalam 4 formula yang berbeda konsentrasi ekstrak kulit buah naga merah, yaitu 10% (f1), 20% (f2), 30% (f3) dan 40% (f4). hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ke empat formula homogen hingga penyimpanan 28 hari, konsistensi cair, berwarna merah muda dengan intensitas warna bertambah seiring dengan bertambahnya konsentrasi dan aroma khas resin. formulasi stabil dalam penyimpanan hingga 28 hari dan tidak menimbulkan tanda-tanda iritasi. waktu kering sediaan secara berturut-turut adalah 16,29-16,42 detik serta memiliki kilapan dan kelancaran mengalir yang baik. f4 memiliki hasil uji kekuatan tarik dan elongsi yang paling besar serta viskositas tertinggi yaitu 8256 cps. hasil evaluasi kesukaan warna yang paling banyak diminati adalah f4. nilai ph sediaan yang mendekati ph kuku hanya terdapat pada formulasi f4. berdasarkan hasil evaluasi yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak kulit buah naga merah dapat diformulasikan menjadi sediaan pewarna kuku peel off karena memenuhi persyaratan secara umum. kata kunci : antosianin, kulit buah naga merah, maserasi, peel off, pewarna kuku abstract red dragon fruit (hylocereus costaricencis) (facweber) britton & rose contains anthocyanins which are very good to be used as natural dyes and peel off liquid nail dye is a nail dye preparation that is easy to peel or clean after use, so that a peel off liquid nail dye formulation from the water extract of the skin of the red dragon fruit (hylocereus costaricencis) (facweber) britton & rose been carried out. the skin of the red dragon fruit was extracted using the maceration method with 10% water and citric acid (1: 6) as solvent. the characterization results showed that the water extract of red dragon fruit peel had a water content of 16.83 ± 0.76%, a water soluble extract content of 44.16% ± 2.08%, an ethanol soluble extract content of 19.16% ± 1.44% and ash content 6,83% ± 2,51%. the extract obtained was carried out by phytochemical testing which showed that the water extract of naga merah fruit peel contained alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins and triterpenoids. the peel off liquid nail dye formulation was made in 4 different formulas with the concentration of red dragon fruit peel extract, namely f1 (10%), f2 (20%), f3 (30%) and f4 (40%). the results of this study indicated that f1 to f4 are homogenous in storage up to 28 days, have liquid consistency, showed pink color with increase in color intensity by the increasing concentration of extract and have distinctive aroma of resin. the peel-off liquid nail polish formulation is stable during storage for 28 days and does not cause signs of irritation. the result of the evaluation of the most popular color preference is f4. the dry time for the f1, f2, f3 and f4 preparations was 16.29-16.42 seconds and had good gloss and flow. f4 has the greatest tensile strength and elongation test results and the highest viscosity, namely 8256 cps. based on the results of the evaluation obtained, it can be concluded that the dragon red fruit peel extract can be formulated into a peel off nail dye preparation because it meets the general requirements, but the ph of the preparation is close to nail ph only found in the f4 formulation. key words: antosianin, extraction, nail dye, peel off, red dragon fruit peel
