The objective of this study is to look at some given theories and/or research findings on the use of cooperative integrated reading and composition (circ) on reading and writing skills. cooperative integrated reading and composition (circ) is a comprehensive program for teaching reading and writing. cooperative integrated reading and compositions (circ) is a part of cooperative learning approach which is using cooperative team to help students learn reading and writing skills that could be applied commonly. the study found that using cooperative integrated reading and composition (circ) method can help students improve reading and writing skills. the method used in this study is library research, which is accessed through the library and the internet. readings obtained from various data are processed and described in a descriptive way. based on the research findings and experts' statements, it is found that cooperative integrated reading and composition (circ) is effective to enhance the students' reading and writing skills.
