Abstrak uji fitokimia dan aktivitas antimikroba ekstrak metanol asam sunti (averrhoa bilimbi l.) telah dilakukan terhadap bakteri staphylococcus aureus, escherichia coli dan jamur candida albicans. ekstrak asam sunti diperoleh melalui metode maserasi dengan pelarut metanol yang telah didestilasi. simplisia asam sunti mengandung kadar air sebesar 4,6%, kadar sari larut air 46,6%, kadar sari larut etanol 54,16% dan kadar abu total 39,6%. ekstrak metanol asam sunti mengandung kadar air sebesar 22%, kadar sari larut air 42,6%, kadar sari larut etanol 47,6% dan kadar abu total 10,3%. hasil uji fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak metanol asam sunti mengandung senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin, saponin, steroid dan triterpenoid. pengujian aktivitas antimikroba dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode sumuran dengan variasi konsentrasi ekstrak yaitu 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% dan 50%. ekstrak metanol asam sunti lebih aktif menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri s. aureus dari pada bakteri e. coli dan jamur c. albicans. aktivitas antimikroba tertinggi diperoleh pada konsentrasi 50% dengan zona hambat sebesar 17,76 mm, 10,63 mm dan 8,7 mm untuk masing-masing bakteri s. aureus, e. coli dan jamur c. albicans. kata kunci: antimikroba, asam sunti, averrhoa bilimbi l., candida albicans, escherichia coli, ekstrak metanol, fitokimia, staphylococcus aureus. abstract phytochemical tests and antimicrobial activity of asam sunti methanol extract (averrhoa bilimbi l.) were carried out on staphylococcus aureus, escherichia coli and candida albicans fungi. asam sunti extract was obtained by maceration method with distilled methanol as solvent. asam sunti simplicia contains water content of 4,6%, water soluble extract content of 46,6%, ethanol soluble extract content of 54.16% and total ash content of 39.6%. the asam sunti methanol extract contains 22% of water, 42,6% of water soluble extract, 47,6% of ethanol soluble extract and 10,3% total ash content. the results of the phytochemical test showed that the methanolic extract of asam sunti contained alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, steroids and triterpenoids. antimicrobial activity testing was carried out using the well diffusion method with various extract concentrations, namely 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50%. the asam sunti methanol extract was more active in inhibiting the growth of s. aureus bacteria than e. coli and c. albicans fungi. the highest antimicrobial activity was obtained at a concentration of 50% with inhibition zones of 17,76 mm, 10,63 mm and 8,7 mm for s. aureus, e. coli and c. albicans, respectively. keywords: antimicrobials, asam sunti, averrhoa bilimbi l., candida albicans. methanol extract, phytochemicals, staphylococcus aureus.
