Abstrak kopi arabika (coffea arabica) merupakan salah satu jenis kopi yang paling banyak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat aceh. banyaknya konsumsi kopi ini berbanding lurus dengan jumlah limbah ampas kopi yang akan dihasilkan. limbah ampas kopi arabika ini dapat diminimalisir dengan mengubah nya menjadi adsorben arang aktif sehingga bisa dimanfaatkan kembali menjadi bahan aktif dalam formulasi sediaan sabun mandi cair arang aktif limbah ampas kopi arabika (coffea arabica) dengan variasi konsentrasi cocamidopropyl betaine sebagai surfaktan. tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah arang aktif dari limbah ampas kopi arabika dapat diformulasikan menjadi sabun mandi cair serta mengetahui konsentrasi cocamidopropyl betaine sebagai surfaktan yang dapat memberikan hasil evaluasi terbaik sebagai sediaan sabun mandi cair arang aktif dari limbah ampas kopi arabika. hasil karakterisasi arang aktif yang diperoleh memenuhi sni yaitu rendemen 86,3%, kadar zat volatil 10,667%, kadar air 5,667%, kadar abu 1,7%, kadar karbon murni 81,966%, dan daya serap iodium 1522,8 mg/g. sediaan sabun mandi cair arang aktif dibuat dalam lima formula dengan variasi konsentrasi surfaktan sodium lauril sulfat (sls) dan cocamidopropyl betaine (capb). hasil evaluasi sediaan f4 dan f5 merupakan sediaan yang memberikan hasil evaluasi terbaik serta memenuhi sni dengan hasil evaluasi sediaan f4 yaitu sabun berbentuk cair, berbau fresh mint, berwarna abu-abu gelap, ph 8,01, viskositas 1345 cps, bobot jenis 1,044, dan stabilitas tinggi busa 85,7%. hasil evaluasi sediaan f5 yang juga memberikan hasil evaluasi terbaik yaitu sediaan sabun berbentuk cair, berbau fresh mint, berwarna abu-abu gelap, ph 8,02, viskositas 1370,7 cps, bobot jenis 1,049, dan stabilitas tinggi busa 93,3%. sediaan f4 dan f5 juga tidak iritasi dan sangat disukai oleh responden. kata kunci : limbah ampas kopi, kopi arabika, arang aktif, cocamidopropyl betaine, capb, sabun mandi cair abstract arabica coffee (coffea arabica) is one of the most coffees consumed by the people of aceh. the amount of coffee consumption is directly proportional to coffee wasted grounds that will be produced. arabica coffee wasted can be minimized by converting it into actived charcoal adsorbents so that can be reused into active ingredients in the formulation of activated charcoal liquid bath soap waste arabica coffee grounds (coffea arabica) with variations in the concentration of cocamidopropyl betaine as surfactant. the purpose of this study is to find out the activated charcoal from arabica coffee grounds waste can be formulated into liquid bath soap and knows the concentration of cocamidopropyl betaine as surfactant that can provide the best evaluation results as a preparation of activated charcoal liquid bath soap from arabica coffee grounds waste. the results of the characterization of activated charcoal obtained satisfy the sni requirements with yield was 86.3%, volatile substance content was 10.667%, water content was 5.667%, ash content was 1.7%, pure carbon content was 81.966%, and absorption of iodium was 1522.8 mg/g. activated charcoal liquid bath soap preparations are made in five formulas with variations in the concentrations of surfactant sodium lauryl sulfate (sls) and cocamidopropyl betaine (capb). f4 and f5 preparation evaluation results are preparations that provide the best evaluation results satisfy the sni requirements with the results of evaluation of f4 preparations were liquid-shaped soap, smelling of fresh mint, dark gray, ph was 8.01, viscosity was 1345 cps, specific gravity was 1,044, and high stability of foam was 85.7%. the evaluation results of f5 preparations that also provide the best evaluation results are liquid-shaped soap preparations, smelling fresh mint, dark gray, ph was 8.02, viscosity was 1370.7 cps, specific gravity was 1,049, and high foam stability was 93.3%. f4 and f5 preparations are also not irritating and liked by respondents. keywords: arabica coffee, active charcoal, cocamidopropyl betaine, liquid bath soap
