Abstrak judul : penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor pariwisata di sumatera penulis : febi ramadhanti nim : 1601101010066 fakultas/jurusan : ekonomi dan bisnis/ekonomi pembangunan pembimbing : nanda rahmi, s.e., m.si penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pdrb sektor pariwisata dan nilai tukar (kurs) terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja di sektor pariwisata yang ada di sumatera. variabel dalam penelitian ini antara lain pdrb, kurs dan penyerapan tenaga kerja. pada penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan analisis regresi berganda dengan data sekunder dari bps. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial produk domestik regional bruto memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja di sektor pariwisata. hasil tersebut sesuai dengan teori dasar bahwa apabila pdrb meningkat maka akan meningkatkan penyerapan tenaga kerja disemua sekor termasuk sektor pariwisata. hasil penelitian juga menjelaskan bahwa secara parsial kurs memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja di sektor pariwisata. hasil tersebut sesuai dengan teori dasar bahwa apabila kurs meningkat maka akan meningkatkan penyerapan tenaga kerja disemua sektor termasuk sektor pariwisata. mengingat sektor pariwisata masih menjadi industri produktif di indonesia maka disarankan kepada pemerintah agar dapat meningkatkan lapangan usaha di sektor pariwisata sehingga dapat meningkatkan penyerapan tenaga kerja di sektor tersebut. kata kunci: pdrb, kurs, penyerapan tenaga kerja, sektor pariwisata abstract judul : absorption of labor in the tourism sector in sumatra penulis : febi ramadhanti nim : 1601101010066 fakultas/jurusan : economics and business/economics pembimbing : nanda rahmi, s.e., m.si this study aims to determine the effect of gdp in the tourism sector and the exchange rate (exchange rate) on labor absorption in the tourism sector in sumatra. the variables in this study include grdp (x1), exchange rate (x2) and labor absorption (y). in this study, the authors used multiple regression analysis with secondary data from bps. the results showed that partially if partially the gross regional domestic product (x1) has a positive and significant effect on employment in the tourism sector (y). these results are in accordance with the basic theory that if the grdp increases it will increase the absorption of labor in all sectors, including the tourism sector. the results also explain that partially the exchange rate (x1) has a positive and significant effect on employment in the tourism sector (y). these results are in accordance with the basic theory that if the exchange rate increases it will increase the absorption of labor in all sectors, including the tourism sector. considering that the tourism sector is still a productive industry in indonesia, it is recommended that the government be able to increase employment in this sector keywords: grdp, exchange rate, labor absorption, tourism sector
