abstrak abstrak karya akhir diserahkan kepada panitia komisi ujian untuk mendapatkan gelar magister manajemen pada program pascasarjana universitas syiah kuala keterikatan karyawan bank mandiri area dumai (analisis komparatif antara karyawan generasi x dan y) oleh: yusran very npm: 1701202010061 konsentrasi: manajemen sumber daya manusia pembimbing pertama : dr. said musnadi, s.e., m.si pembimbing kedua : dr. nadirsyah, s.e., m.si, ak, ca tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis pengaruh pengembangan karir terhadap keterikatan karyawan, pengaruh keterikatan karyawan terhadap turnover intention, dan tingkat keterikatan karyawan antara karyawan generasi x dan karyawan generasi y serta tingkat keterikatan karyawan antara karyawan laki-laki dan karyawan perempuan. teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu sensus dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 191 karyawan, sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis regresi sederhana. hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa pengembangan karir berpengaruh positif terhadap keterikatan karyawan; keterikatan karyawan berpengaruh negatif terhadap turnover intention; terdapat perbedaan tingkat keterikatan karyawan antara karyawan generasi x dan karyawan generasi y dimana tingkat keterikatan karyawan generasi x lebih tinggi bila dibandingkan tingkat keterikatan karyawan generasi y; terdapat perbedaan tingkat keterikatan karyawan antara karyawan laki-laki dan karyawan perempuan dimana tingkat keterikatan karyawan laki-laki lebih tinggi bila dibandingkan tingkat keterikatan karyawan perempuan. kata kunci: pengembangan karir, keterikatan karyawan, turnover intention. abstract abstract of final paper submitted to the examination committee in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of master of management on the graduate program of syiah kuala university employee engagement at mandiri bank dumai area (comparative analysis between generation x and y employees) by: yusran very npm: 1701202010061 specialization: human resource management supervisor : dr. said musnadi, s.e., m.si co-supervisor : dr. nadirsyah, s.e., m.si, ak, ca this research aimed to analyze the effect of career development on employee engagement, the effect of employee engagement on turnover intention, and the level of employee engagement between generation x employees and generation y employees and the level of employee engagement between male employees and female employees. the sampling technique used was census with the size of respondents as many 191 employees, while the data analysis technique used was simple regression analysis. the results showed that career development has an positive effect on employee engagement; employee engagement has an negative effect on turnover intention; there is a difference in the level of employee engagement between generation x employees and generation y employees where the level of engagement of generation x employees is higher when compared to the level of engagement of generation y employees; there are differences in the level of employee engagement between male employees and female employees where the level of engagement of male employees is higher when compared to the level of engagement of female employees. keywords: career development, employee engagement, turnover intention.
