Name student no. department/program title abstract anna maulinar 1406102020002 english education/undergraduate the accuracy of acehnese to english translation of verbal and nominal sentences by the secondary students keywords : english sentence, acehnese sentence, english verbal sentence and english nominal sentence, acehnese verbal sentence and acehnese nominal sentence, contrastive analysis, language interference, error analysis. the goal of this study is to knowhow accurate the acehnese to english translation of verbal and nominal sentences and to prove whether verbal sentences are translated with better accuracy by acehnese high school students. the subjects of this study were 31 students of eleventh grade (class x1.2) in sman 01 sawang whose first language is acehnese. qualitative study used as a method to obtain the data. the researcher use translation test to get data then researcher analysis data. from the result of data analysis revealed that the students could translate verbal sentences better than nominal sentences. it was proven from the students' test result that they obtained 168 correct answers for verbal sentence translation, and 104 correct answers for nominal sentence translation.
