Abstract name : evriani rotua gea student no : 1306102020021 study program : english education thesis title : observing english listening skill to students with autism using total physical response keywords : total physical response, listening, autism the title of this study is "total physical response activities to teach english listening skills for children with autism". this study was intended to analyze how the teacher at smplb-cd ypac banda aceh taught english with the tpr method to students. this type of research uses a qualitative approach type of case study. the research subjects were students of ypac banda aceh smplb-cd with autistic disorders. data collection uses the method of observation and documentation. teaching english, especially for children with autism, should be enjoyable, interesting, repetitive, and understandable. in doing so, there should be appropriate methods for teaching english to them. one of the alternative methods that can be applied in the classroom is the so-called total physical response. this method tries to introduce some language skills or components in an action in which a teacher serves three roles: an order taker, a model provider, and an action monitor in which learners serve as models and action performers until they feel ready to response.
