Abstrak penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh surface acting terhadap kinerja dengan kelelahan emosional sebagai pemediasi pada perawat rumah sakit umum daerah meuraxa kota banda aceh. sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah para perawat rumah sakit umum daerah meuraxa kota banda aceh yang berjumlah 140 responden. metode penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner sebagai instrumen penelitian. teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah probability sampling. hierarchical linear modelling (hlm) digunakan sebagai metode analisis untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari semua variabel-variabel yang terlibat. penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa surface acting berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja, surface acting berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kelelahan emosional, kelelahan emosional berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja, dan kelelahan emosional memediasi pengaruh surface acting terhadap kinerja. kata kunci: surface acting, kinerja, kelelahan emosional abstract this study aims to investigate the effect of surface acting on job performance and emotional exhaustion as mediating of nurses meuraxa regional general hospital in banda aceh. the sample used in this study were nurses meuraxa regional general hospital in banda aceh city a total of 140 respondents. this research method using questionnaire as a research instrument. the sampling technique used is the probability sampling. hierarchical linear modeling (hlm) is used as a method of analysis to determine the effect of all the variables involved. the result of this study indicates that surface acting significantly influence job performance, surface acting significant effect on emotional exhaustion, emotional exhaustion significantly influence job performance and emotional exhaustion mediates the effect of surface acting on job performance. keywords: surface acting, job performance, emotional exhaustion
