Abstrak rayap merupakan salah satu organisme perusak yang banyak menyerang tanaman perkebunan seperti kakao. penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui serangan rayap pada kakao monokultur dan agroforestri di kabupaten aceh barat daya. metode yang digunakan adalah parcipatory rural appraisal (pra) dan survei eksploratif. hasil identifikasi diperoleh lima jenis rayap yang menyerang tanaman kakao monokultur dan agroforestri yang dikelompokkan dalam dua suku (rhinotermitidae dan termitidae). schedorhinotermes mediobscurus, s. malaccensis dan coptotermes curvignatus merupakan jenis rayap yang terkoleksi dari rhinotermitidae. sedangkan dari termitidae yang terkoleksi adalah jenis odontotermes grandiceps dan macrotermes sp. persentase serangan pada tanaman kakao di kedua tipe lahan tergolong sangat ringan yaitu 0,11% pada lahan monokultur dan 0,46% pada lahan agroforestri. kata kunci : rayap, kakao, agroforestri, monokultur, aceh barat daya. abstract termites are one of the many destructive organisms attacking crops such as cocoa. this research was conducted to determine termite attack on cocoa monoculture and agroforestry in aceh barat daya. the methods used are parcipatory rural appraisal (pra) and eksplorative survey. the identification results obtained five specieses of termites that are grouped into two tribes (rhinotermitidae and termitidae). schedorhinotermes mediobscurus, s. malaccensis and coptotermes curvignatus were the collected termites species of rhinotermitidae, while the collected from termitidae were odontotermes grandiceps and macrotermes sp. the results showed that the attack percentage on the cocoa classified to have very mild attack, it was 0.11% at monoculture land and 0.46% at agroforestry. keywords: termites, cacao, agroforestry, monoculture, aceh barat daya.
