Abstract this study aims to determine patient’s anxiety level before orthopedic surgery at regional general hospital dr. zainal abidin banda aceh. the data were obtained form the patient. data were analyzed with descriptive and quantitative approaches. the results showed that the pre-surgical patient's anxiety levels are different. before information, 34 patients or 85 percent of patients suffered very heavy level. after the provision of information, the most is moderate anxiety level with 29 patients or 72,5 percent of the respondents.. the results of the statistical test with paired samples test proves that there is a significant relationship between the provision of information to the pre- surgical anxiety levels in major orthopedic pre-surgical patients at dr. zainal abidin hospital. keyword: information, enxiety level, surgery
