(2) dewi fitriani, s.ag., m.ed keywords: language skill, puzzle game, early childhood language skill of children aged 5-6 years is a language ability where children can ask questions and complexly answer questions, composing simple sentences in the complete structure (subject-predicate-description) and able to express ideas to others. the formulation of the problem to be solved in this research is how the development of language skill of children in darman rahman kindergarten when puzzle game applied. this study aims to determine the development of language skills of children in darman rahman kindergarten when puzzle game applied. this research is qualitative descriptive research with classroom action research approach. subjects in this study were children aged 5-6 years. data collection using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. the results based on observations show the ability of children speak in the cycle i category has not developed as many as two children; began to grow as many as two children; and develop as expected as many as three children. in cycle ii there is an increase of children who begin to develop as many as one child; growing as expected by two children; and growing very well as many as four children. results of interviews in cycle 1 category have not developed as many as three children; began to grow as many as two children; and develop as expected as much as two children, and continue to increase in cycle ii that is growing as expected by three children; and growing very well as many as four children. it was concluded that through puzzle games can develop the language skills of children in darman rahman kindergarten of banda aceh. abstrak nurlaili. 2017. mengembangkan kemampuan berbahasa anak usia dini melalui permainan teka-teki di tk darur rahman banda aceh. skripsi, jurusan pendidikan guru anak usia dini, fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan, universitas syiah kuala. pembimbing: (1) dr. bahrun, m.pd. (2) dewi fitriani, s.ag., m.ed. kata kunci : kemampuan berbahasa, permainan teka-teki, anak usia dini kemampuan berbahasa anak usia 5-6 tahun merupakan kemampuan bahasa dimana anak mampu mengajukan pertanyaan dan menjawab pertanyaan dengan kompleks, menyusun kalimat sederhana dalam struktur lengkap (pokok kalimat-predikat-keterangan) serta mampu mengekpresikan ide pada orang lain. rumusan masalah yang hendak diselesaikan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah perkembangan kemampuan berbahasa anak di tk darur rahman ketika diterapkan permainan teka-teki. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan kemampuan berbahasa anak di tk darur rahman ketika diterapkan permainan teka-teki. penelitian ini tergolong penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research). subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak usia 5-6 tahun. pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. hasil penelitian berdasarkan observasi menunjukkan kemampuan berbahasa anak pada siklus i kategori belum berkembang sebanyak 2 anak; mulai berkembang sebanyak 2 anak; dan berkembang sesuai harapan sebanyak 3 anak. pada siklus ii terjadi peningkatan yaitu anak yang mulai berkembang sebanyak 1 anak; berkembang sesuai harapan sebanyak 2 anak; dan berkembang sangat baik sebanyak 4 anak. hasil wawancara pada siklus 1 kategori belum berkembang sebanyak 3 anak; mulai berkembang sebanyak 2 anak; dan berkembang sesuai harapan sebanyak 2 anak, dan terus meningkat pada siklus ii yaitu berkembang sesuai harapan sebanyak 3 anak; dan berkembang sangat baik sebanyak 4 anak. disimpulkan bahwa melalui permainan teka-teki dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berbahasa anak di tk darur rahman banda aceh.
