This study aims at examining whether the implementation of peer feedback technique improves students’ ability in writing narrative text or not. the population of this study is second year students of man 3 banda aceh, while the sample of this study is xi-ia 1 class which is consisted of 23 students. this study approached quantitatively through an experimental method, specifically one group pre-test-post-test design. this study is focused on improving students’ ability in writing narrative text in the aspects of content, organization, vocabulary, language use (grammar) and mechanics. the instrument used to collect the data in this study was test. the result of the study showed that there is a better improvement on students’ writing ability after peer feedback technique implemented. the mean score of pre-test is 37.68 and the mean score of post-test is 76.77. in addition, peer feedback technique improves students’ writing skill in the aspect of content, organization, vocabulary, grammar and mechanics. the highest aspect improved is content (12.73) and the lowest aspect improved is mechanics (0.91). therefore, the writer concludes that teaching writing narrative text by using peer feedback technique gave good effect for students’ ability in the five of writing aspects.
