Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah memberikan kemudahan dalam pengelolaan data dan penyampaian informasi di berbagai bidang, termasuk bidang pendidikan. pada sma negeri 1 sabang, proses penerimaan peserta didik baru (ppdb) masih menghadapi beberapa kendala, seperti proses pendaftaran yang kurang efisien, pengelolaan data yang memerlukan waktu cukup lama, serta potensi kesalahan dalam pencatatan data calon peserta didik. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun website sistem informasi penerimaan peserta didik baru (ppdb) yang dapat mempermudah proses pendaftaran dan pengelolaan data peserta didik baru. metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah waterfall yang meliputi tahap analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi, dan pengujian. sistem dibangun berbasis web menggunakan html, css, javascript, php, dan mysql dengan fitur utama berupa pendaftaran online, pengelolaan data calon peserta didik, unggah berkas persyaratan, serta verifikasi data oleh pihak sekolah. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan mampu meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi proses ppdb, memudahkan pengelolaan data, serta mengurangi risiko kesalahan dalam pencatatan dan penyimpanan data. dengan demikian, website ini diharapkan dapat mendukung pelaksanaan ppdb yang lebih terstruktur, akurat, dan terintegrasi di sma negeri 1 sabang. kata kunci: sistem informasi, penerimaan peserta didik baru, ppdb, website, waterfall.

The development of information technology has provided convenience in data management and information dissemination across various fields, including education. At SMA Negeri 1 Sabang, the New Student Admission (PPDB) process still faces several challenges, such as inefficient registration procedures, time-consuming data management, and the potential for errors in recording prospective student data. This study aims to design and develop a New Student Admission Information System Website that facilitates the registration process and the management of prospective student data. The system development method used in this research is the Waterfall model, which consists of the requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing stages. The system is developed as a web-based application using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL, with main features including online registration, prospective student data management, document Upload, and data verification by school administrators. The results of this study indicate that the developed system is capable of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the admission process, simplifying data management, and reducing the risk of errors in data recording and storage. Therefore, this website is expected to support a more structured, accurate, and integrated implementation of the New Student Admission process at SMA Negeri 1 Sabang.
