Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan project based learning (pjbl) terintegrasi stem berbasis produk recycle limbah medis terhadap kesadaran lingkungan dan keterampilan psikomotorik peserta didik pada ekosistem daratan berkelanjutan. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods dengan desain explanatory sequential yang dilaksanakan pada peserta didik kelas x di dua sekolah yang berlokasi di banda aceh. data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, lembar observasi, dan wawancara. data dianalisis menggunakan uji parametrik dan non-parametrik sesuai dengan distribusi data pada masing-masing kelompok sekolah, selanjutnya dilakukan analisis tematik untuk mendapatkan hasil penelitian yang lebih komprehensif. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pjbl-stem berbasis produk recycle limbah medis non infeksius dan non-hazardous berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kesadaran lingkungan dan keterampilan psikomotorik peserta didik (p < 0,05). temuan penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran pjbl-stem berbasis proyek recycle memberikan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna, meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif, serta mendorong kepedulian peserta didik terhadap permasalahan lingkungan dan pengembangan keterampilan praktik. dengan demikian, penerapan pjbl-stem berbasis recycle limbah medis efektif sebagai alternatif pembelajaran berkelanjutan di tingkat sma. kata kunci: project based learning, stem, recycle limbah medis, kesadaran lingkungan, keterampilan psikomotorik



Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing STEM-integrated Project-Based Learning (PjBL) based on recycled medical waste products on students’ environmental awareness and psychomotor skills in the context of sustainable terrestrial ecosystems. This study employed a mixed-methods approach with an explanatory sequential design and was conducted among tenth-grade students in two schools located in Banda Aceh. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation sheets, and interviews. The data were analyzed using parametric and non-parametric tests in accordance with the data distribution in each school group, followed by thematic analysis to obtain more comprehensive findings. The results showed that the implementation of STEM-integrated PjBL based on recycled medical waste products had a significant effect on students’ environmental awareness and psychomotor skills (p < 0.05). The findings also indicated that PjBL-STEM learning based on recycling projects provides meaningful learning experiences, enhances active engagement, and fosters students’ awareness of environmental issues as well as the development of practical skills. Therefore, the implementation of PjBL-STEM based on recycled medical waste is effective as an alternative approach for sustainable learning at the senior high school level.
