Penambahan bahan aditif berbasis nanoteknologi pada pakan merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan kesehatan ikan budidaya, khususnya ikan mas (cyprinus carpio). penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh penambahan carbon quantum dots (cqds) dari cengkeh (syzygium aromaticum) dalam pakan terhadap pertumbuhan dan histologi usus ikan mas. penelitian dilaksanakan pada oktober–november 2025 menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (ral) dengan enam perlakuan dan tiga ulangan, yaitu p1 (0 ppm), p2 (2,5 ppm), p3 (5,0 ppm), p4 (7,5 ppm), p5 (10,0 ppm), dan p6 (12,5 ppm). hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan cqds berpengaruh positif terhadap pertumbuhan ikan mas, ditandai dengan meningkatnya panjang mutlak, berat mutlak, dan laju pertumbuhan spesifik (sgr), serta menurunnya rasio konversi pakan (fcr). pemberian cqds juga meningkatkan kualitas histomorfometri usus melalui peningkatan panjang vili, lebar vili, dan luas permukaan vili. perlakuan p6 (12,5 ppm) memberikan hasil terbaik dengan berat mutlak 4,30 ± 0,04 g, panjang mutlak 3,91 ± 0,08 cm, sgr 3,49 ± 0,10%/hari, fcr 1,39 ± 0,02, serta panjang vili 270,00 ± 5,62 µm. berdasarkan hasil penelitian, carbon quantum dots dari cengkeh berpotensi sebagai bahan aditif pakan fungsional yang mampu meningkatkan efisiensi penyerapan nutrien melalui perbaikan struktur usus sehingga mendukung pertumbuhan ikan mas secara optimal pada dosis 12,5 ppm.



Abstract

The addition of nanotechnology-based feed additives is one of the approaches used to improve the growth performance and health of cultured fish, particularly common carp (Cyprinus carpio). This study aimed to analyze the effect of incorporating Carbon Quantum Dots (CQDs) derived from clove (Syzygium aromaticum) into the diet on the growth performance and intestinal histology of common carp. The study was conducted from October to November 2025 using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of six treatments with three replicates: P1 (0 ppm, control), P2 (2.5 ppm), P3 (5.0 ppm), P4 (7.5 ppm), P5 (10.0 ppm), and P6 (12.5 ppm). The results demonstrated that dietary supplementation with clove-derived CQDs positively affected the growth performance of common carp, as indicated by increases in absolute length, absolute weight, and specific growth rate (SGR), as well as a reduction in feed conversion ratio (FCR). In addition, CQD supplementation improved intestinal histomorphometry, as evidenced by increased villus length, villus width, and villus surface area. The P6 treatment (12.5 ppm) produced the best performance, with an absolute weight gain of 4.30 ± 0.04 g, an absolute length gain of 3.91 ± 0.08 cm, an SGR of 3.49 ± 0.10% day⁻¹, the lowest FCR of 1.39 ± 0.02, and the greatest villus length of 270.00 ± 5.62 µm. Based on these findings, clove-derived Carbon Quantum Dots have considerable potential as a functional feed additive capable of enhancing nutrient absorption efficiency through improvements in intestinal structure, thereby promoting optimal growth of common carp at a dietary dose of 12.5 ppm.
