transportasi benih ikan bandeng (chanos chanos) merupakan salah satu tahapan penting dalam kegiatan budidaya yang sering menghadapi kendala berupa stres dan mortalitas selama pengangkutan. penggunaan anestesi alami dari ekstrak daun bandotan (ageratum conyzoides) diharapkan mampu menekan aktivitas metabolisme ikan sehingga meningkatkan keberhasilan transportasi. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan kepadatan benih ikan bandeng terhadap tingkat kelangsungan hidup, waktu induksi, waktu pemulihan, dan respons fisiologis selama transportasi sistem tertutup menggunakan ekstrak daun bandotan. penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (ral) dengan 4 perlakuan kepadatan, yaitu p1 (15 ekor/3 l air), p2 (20 ekor/3 l air), p3 (25 ekor/3 l air), dan p4 (30 ekor/3 l air), masing-masing dengan 5 ulangan. setiap perlakuan diberi 3 ml ekstrak daun bandotan yang dicampurkan ke dalam 3 l air media transportasi dan dilakukan pengangkutan selama 8 jam. parameter yang diamati meliputi tingkah laku ikan, lama waktu pingsan, lama waktu sadar, tingkat kelangsungan hidup, serta kualitas air yang meliputi suhu, ph, oksigen terlarut (do), dan salinitas. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan kepadatan berpengaruh nyata (p0,05) terhadap tingkat kelangsungan hidup. waktu pingsan tercepat diperoleh pada p1 yaitu 22,09 ± 1,55 menit, sedangkan terlama pada p4 yaitu 37,34 ± 2,02 menit. waktu sadar tercepat terdapat pada p1 sebesar 12,65 ± 1,60 menit dan terlama pada p4 sebesar 27,45 ± 0,70 menit. tingkat kelangsungan hidup tertinggi diperoleh pada p2 sebesar 91,00 ± 4,18%. parameter kualitas air selama transportasi masih berada dalam kisaran yang dapat ditoleransi oleh benih ikan bandeng. berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penggunaan ekstrak daun bandotan efektif digunakan sebagai anestesi alami dalam transportasi sistem tertutup benih ikan bandeng, dengan kepadatan p2 (20 ekor/3 l air) memberikan hasil terbaik berdasarkan tingkat kelangsungan hidup. kata kunci: ageratum conyzoides, anestesi alami, benih ikan bandeng, kepadatan tebar, transportasi sistem tertutup.



Abstract

Milkfish The transportation of milkfish (Chanos chanos) fry is an important stage in aquaculture activities that often faces challenges such as stress and mortality during handling and shipment. The use of natural anesthetics derived from bandotan leaf extract (Ageratum conyzoides) is expected to suppress fish metabolic activity and improve transportation success. This study aimed to determine the effect of different stocking densities of milkfish fry on survival rate, induction time, recovery time, and physiological responses during closed transportation using bandotan leaf extract. The study employed a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of four stocking density treatments: P1 (15 fish/3 L of water), P2 (20 fish/3 L of water), P3 (25 fish/3 L of water), and P4 (30 fish/3 L of water), with five replications each. Each treatment received 3 mL of bandotan leaf extract mixed into 3 L of transportation water and was subjected to an 8-hour transportation period. The observed parameters included fish behavior, anesthesia induction time, recovery time, survival rate, and water quality parameters consisting of temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), and salinity. The results showed that stocking density had a significant effect (P0.05) on survival rate. The fastest induction time was observed in P1 at 22.09 ± 1.55 minutes, while the longest was recorded in P4 at 37.34 ± 2.02 minutes. The shortest recovery time was obtained in P1 at 12.65 ± 1.60 minutes, whereas the longest was found in P4 at 27.45 ± 0.70 minutes. The highest survival rate was achieved in P2, reaching 91.00 ± 4.18%. Water quality parameters during transportation remained within the tolerance range for milkfish fry. Based on the results, bandotan leaf extract was effective as a natural anesthetic for the closed transportation of milkfish fry, with P2 (20 fish/3 L of water) providing the best performance in terms of survival rate.
