Rajungan (portunus sp.) merupakan komoditas perikanan bernilai ekonomis tinggi yang banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat pesisir aceh tamiang. intensitas penangkapan yang terus meningkat perlu didukung oleh data ekologi agar pemanfaatannya tetap berkelanjutan. penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi jenis rajungan serta menganalisis komposisi makanan rajungan di perairan aceh tamiang. penelitian dilaksanakan pada november 2025 sampai januari 2026. sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 60 ekor rajungan dari hasil tangkapan nelayan di tiga kecamatan, yaitu bendahara, banda mulia, dan seruway. parameter yang diamati meliputi identifikasi morfologi spesies, hubungan lebar karapas dan bobot tubuh, rasio kelamin, serta analisis isi lambung berdasarkan frekuensi kemunculan, persentase jumlah, indeks kepentingan relatif (ikr), indeks keanekaragaman shannon-wiener (h’), dan indeks keseragaman (e). hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sampel didominasi oleh rajungan biru (portunus pelagicus) sebanyak 59 ekor, sedangkan rajungan karang (charybdis feriata) hanya ditemukan 1 ekor. rajungan menunjukkan pola pertumbuhan alometrik negatif dan rasio kelamin yang didominasi betina. komposisi makanan utama terdiri atas ikan, kerang, dan udang, yang menunjukkan bahwa rajungan di perairan aceh tamiang cenderung memanfaatkan sumber pakan hewani yang tersedia. nilai h’ sebesar 1,53 menunjukkan keragaman makanan sedang, sedangkan nilai e sebesar 0,95 menunjukkan distribusi jenis pakan relatif merata. hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar bagi pengelolaan rajungan yang lebih selektif melalui pengaturan penangkapan, pemantauan stok, dan perlindungan habitat pakan di perairan aceh tamiang. kata kunci: rajungan biru, portunus pelagicus, morfometrik, isi lambung, pola makan, aceh tamiang, pengelolaan berkelanjutan



Abstract

Swimming crab (Portunus sp.) is a fishery commodity with high economic value and is widely utilized by coastal communities in Aceh Tamiang. Increasing fishing intensity requires ecological data to support sustainable resource management. This study aimed to identify swimming crab species and analyze their food composition in the waters of Aceh Tamiang. The research was conducted from November 2025 to January 2026. A total of 60 swimming crab specimens were collected from fishers’ catches in three sub-districts, namely Bendahara, Banda Mulia, and Seruway. The observed parameters included morphological species identification, the relationship between carapace width and body weight, sex ratio, and stomach content analysis based on frequency of occurrence, percentage by number, Index of Relative Importance (IRI), Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H’), and evenness index (E). The results showed that the samples were dominated by the blue swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus) with 59 specimens, while only one specimen of crucifix crab (Charybdis feriata) was found. The swimming crabs showed a negative allometric growth pattern and a female-dominated sex ratio. The main food items consisted of fish, bivalves, and shrimp, indicating that blue swimming crabs in the waters of Aceh Tamiang tended to utilize the available animal-based food resources. The H’ value of 1.53 indicated a moderate level of food diversity, while the E value of 0.95 indicated a relatively even distribution of food items. These findings provide baseline information for more selective swimming crab management through fishing regulation, stock monitoring, and protection of feeding habitats in Aceh Tamiang waters.
