Provinsi aceh menempati posisi tertinggi kasus penyakit ginjal kronis di indonesia. prevalensi kasus mengalami kenaikan di setiap tahun. meskipun kasus melonjak, akses layanan cuci darah (hemodialisis) masih terbatas dan belum tersedianya rumah sakit khusus ginjal di aceh. hal ini menyebabkan tekanan besar pada fasilitas kesehatan yang ada dan mengharuskan pasien berobat ke luar daerah atau luar negeri. untuk mengatasi masalah ini, perlu adanya rumah sakit khusus ginjal di aceh yang berfokus kepada kelengkapan fasilitas dan peningkatan layanan spesialis, seperti pencegahan, bedah transplantasi, dan akses layanan cuci darah (hemodialisis). perancangan rumah sakit khusus ginjal aceh diusulkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan biophilic design, dengan menciptakan lingkungan rumah sakit yang sehat, nyaman, serta memberikan pengaruh positif pada psikis, dan meningkatkan kesembuhan pasien melalui koneksi visual dan emosional dengan alam. dengan pendekatan biophilic design, perancangan diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan, mengurangi kecemasan pasien yang menjalani pengobatan jangka panjang, dan secara keseluruhan memperkuat suasana penyembuhan (healing environment) bagi pasien ginjal di aceh.

Aceh Province holds the highest position for chronic kidney disease cases in Indonesia. The prevalence of cases has increased every year. Despite the surge in cases, access to dialysis services (hemodialysis) is still limited, and there is no kidney-specialized hospital in Aceh. This creates significant pressure on existing healthcare facilities and forces patients to seek treatment outside the region or abroad. To address this issue, it is necessary to establish a kidney-specialized hospital in Aceh that focuses on comprehensive facilities and improved specialist services, such as prevention, transplant surgery, and access to dialysis services (hemodialysis). The design of the Aceh Kidney Specialized Hospital is proposed using a biophilic design approach, creating a hospital environment that is healthy, comfortable, and has a positive impact on mental health, while improving patient recovery through visual and emotional connection with nature. With a biophilic design approach, the design is expected to improve the quality of health services, reduce anxiety for patients undergoing long-term treatment, and overall strengthen the healing environment for kidney patients in Aceh.
