Proses perekrutan asisten laboratorium pada program studi d3 manajemen informatika fmipa universitas syiah kuala selama ini masih dilakukan secara manual menggunakan microsoft excel, sehingga menimbulkan kendala berupa proses pendaftaran yang memakan waktu lama, kesulitan verifikasi data, risiko kehilangan data, dan kurangnya transparansi seleksi. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem informasi perekrutan asisten laboratorium (sipal) berbasis web menggunakan framework laravel 9 dan basis data mysql. metode perancangan yang digunakan adalah model waterfall, meliputi tahap analisis kebutuhan, desain sistem (use case diagram, activity diagram, dan entity relationship diagram), implementasi, hingga pengujian sistem. sistem yang dihasilkan terdiri atas 13 modul utama, mencakup sisi admin (dashboard, kelola periode, kelola jadwal, kelola pendaftar, asisten aktif, arsip, dan laporan) serta sisi mahasiswa (dashboard, lowongan, tracking, riwayat, dan profil), dengan proses seleksi otomatis berdasarkan kriteria objektif berupa ipk minimal 3,00 dan nilai mata kuliah minimal b. pengujian dilakukan menggunakan metode black box testing terhadap 22 skenario pengujian, dan seluruh skenario menunjukkan hasil yang sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sipal dapat mengotomatisasi proses pendaftaran, meningkatkan objektivitas dan transparansi seleksi, mempermudah pengelolaan data historis asisten, serta mempercepat proses pelaporan hasil perekrutan, sehingga sistem ini dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut sesuai kebutuhan program studi. kata kunci: sistem informasi, perekrutan asisten laboratorium, laravel, mysql, model waterfall, black-box testing



Abstract

The recruitment process for laboratory assistants in the D3 Informatics Management Study Program at FMIPA Universitas Syiah Kuala has been conducted manually using Microsoft Excel, resulting in a time-consuming registration process, difficulties in data verification, risk of data loss, and a lack of transparency in the selection process. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Laboratory Assistant Recruitment Information System (SIPAL) using the Laravel 9 framework and a MySQL database. The system was developed using the Waterfall model, covering requirement analysis, system design (Use Case Diagram, Activity Diagram, and Entity Relationship Diagram), implementation, and system testing. The resulting system consists of 13 main modules, comprising the Admin side (Dashboard, Registration Period Management, Course Schedule Management, Applicant Management, Active Assistants, Archive, and Reports) and the Student side (Dashboard, Vacancies, Tracking, History, and Profile), with an automated selection process based on objective criteria, namely a minimum GPA of 3.00 and a minimum course grade of B. Testing was carried out using the Black-Box Testing method across 22 test scenarios, all of which produced results consistent with expectations. The findings indicate that SIPAL is able to automate the registration process, improve the objectivity and transparency of selection, simplify the management of historical assistant data, and accelerate the recruitment reporting process, making the system a suitable foundation for further development according to the study program's needs.
