Ekosistem mangrove merupakan habitat penting bagi berbagai organisme bentik, termasuk gastropoda yang berperan sebagai detritivor dan bioindikator kondisi lingkungan. namun, informasi mengenai struktur komunitas gastropoda pada ekosistem mangrove di kecamatan batee, kabupaten pidie masih terbatas. penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kepadatan, keanekaragaman, keseragaman, dominansi, pola sebaran, serta hubungan substrat dengan kepadatan gastropoda di lokasi tersebut. penelitian dilaksanakan pada januari-april 2026 menggunakan metode purposive sampling pada tiga stasiun pengamatan dengan plot berukuran 1 x 1 meter. analisis data meliputi indeks kepadatan, keanekaragaman, keseragaman, dominansi, pola sebaran, serta regresi linier sederhana. hasil penelitian menunjukkan ditemukan dua spesies gastropoda dari famili potamididae, yaitu cerithidea cingulata dan telescopium telescopium, dengan total 1.580 individu. kepadatan tertinggi ditemukan di stasiun ii sebesar 135,8 ind/m² dan terendah di stasiun iii sebesar 63,4 ind/m². nilai keanekaragaman dan keseragaman tergolong sangat rendah, sedangkan dominansi sangat tinggi akibat dominasi cerithidea cingulata. pola sebaran cerithidea cingulata bersifat mengelompok pada seluruh stasiun, sedangkan telescopium telescopium menunjukkan pola seragam. fraksi liat menunjukkan hubungan positif kuat terhadap kepadatan gastropoda (r = 0,743), sedangkan fraksi pasir menunjukkan hubungan negatif sedang (r = -0,535). disimpulkan bahwa struktur komunitas gastropoda dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik substrat dan dominansi spesies. kata kunci: gastropoda, cerithidea cingulata, ekosistem mangrove, kepadatan, dominansi, tekstur substrat.  



Abstract

Mangrove ecosystems are important habitats for various benthic organisms, including gastropods, which act as detritivores and bioindicators of environmental conditions. However, information on the structure of gastropod communities in mangrove ecosystems in Batee Subdistrict, Pidie Regency, remains limited. This study aims to analyze the density, diversity, evenness, dominance, distribution patterns, and the relationship between substrate and gastropod density at this location. The study was conducted from January to April 2026 using purposive sampling at three observation stations with 1 x 1 meter plots. Data analysis included indices of density, diversity, evenness, dominance, distribution patterns, and simple linear regression. The results of the study revealed two gastropod species from the Potamididae family, namely Cerithidea cingulata and Telescopium telescopium, with a total of 1.580 individuals. The highest density was found at Station II at 135,8 ind/m², and the lowest at Station III at 63,4 ind/m². Diversity and evenness indices were classified as very low, while dominance was very high due to the dominance of Cerithidea cingulata. The distribution pattern of Cerithidea cingulata was clumped across all stations, whereas Telescopium telescopium exhibited a uniform pattern. The clay fraction showed a strong positive correlation with gastropod density (r = 0,743), while the sand fraction showed a moderate negative correlation (r = -0,535). It was concluded that the structure of the gastropod community is influenced by substrate characteristics and species dominance.
