Aceh merupakan provinsi dengan kekayaan sumber daya laut yang sangat melimpah. namun, untuk saat ini kekayaan biota laut aceh belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal di bidang wisata. maka untuk memanfaatkan potensi bahari guna memperkenalkan keindahan dan keanekaragaman ekosistem laut kepada masyarakat luas, diperlukannya perancangan taman wisata sea world aceh sebagai media wisata rekreasi yang edukatif. untuk menginterpretasikan bentuk dan karakter alam laut aceh, maka digunakan tema arsitektur metafora yang dapat menghasilkan karya arsitektur akuarium yang komunikatif dan memiliki makna. melalui perancangan ini, taman wisata sea world aceh diharapkan dapat menjadi ikon wisata baru yang memiliki fungsi bukan hanya sebagai sarana hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai media edukasi, konservasi, dan mampu meningkatkan ekonomi daerah di sektor wisata bahari. kata kunci: arsitektur metafora, wisata edukatif, sarana hiburan, akuarium, konservasi laut.

Aceh Province possesses abundant marine resources. However, the rich diversity of its marine life has not yet been optimally utilised for tourism purposes. Therefore, to maximise the region's marine potential while introducing the beauty and diversity of Aceh's marine ecosystems to the public, the design of the Aceh Sea World Theme Park is proposed as an educational recreational tourism facility. To interpret the forms and characteristics of Aceh's marine environment, the project adopts the metaphorical architecture approach, which enables the creation of an aquarium design that is both communicative and meaningful. Through this design, the Aceh Sea World Theme Park is expected to become a new tourism landmark that serves not only as a recreational attraction but also as a centre for education, marine conservation, and the enhancement of the regional economy through the marine tourism sector.
