Tingginya prevalensi masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut di indonesia, termasuk di provinsi aceh, menunjukkan adanya kesenjangan antara kebutuhan perawatan dan ketersediaan layanan yang memadai. survei kesehatan indonesia (ski) 2023 mencatat bahwa lebih dari separuh penduduk usia ≥3 tahun mengalami keluhan gigi dan mulut, namun hanya sebagian kecil yang menerima perawatan profesional. kota banda aceh yang berperan sebagai pusat layanan kesehatan belum memiliki fasilitas rumah sakit gigi dan mulut yang mampu memberikan pelayanan komprehensif dan berorientasi pada kenyamanan psikologis pasien. kondisi ini diperburuk oleh tingginya tingkat kecemasan dental (dental anxiety), yang berdampak pada rendahnya kunjungan dan keterlambatan perawatan. penelitian perancangan ini bertujuan mengusulkan konsep rumah sakit gigi dan mulut kota banda aceh dengan pendekatan neuroarchitecture, yaitu pendekatan desain berbasis ilmu saraf yang memanfaatkan pencahayaan alami, biophilic design, kontrol akustik, proporsi ruang yang harmonis, serta strategi wayfinding untuk mengurangi stres dan meningkatkan pengalaman pasien. metode perancangan mencakup kajian literatur, analisis tapak, studi pengguna, studi preseden, dan penyusunan program ruang sesuai standar permenkes. hasil perancangan menunjukkan bahwa integrasi prinsip neuroarchitecture berpotensi meningkatkan kenyamanan emosional pasien, mendukung efisiensi alur pelayanan, serta memperkuat fungsi rumah sakit sebagai pusat layanan, pendidikan, dan penelitian kedokteran gigi di aceh. dengan demikian, rancangan ini diharapkan menjadi model pengembangan rsgm yang lebih humanis, responsif, dan berkelanjutan di masa mendatang. kata kunci : rumah sakit gigi dan mulut, neuroarchitecture, dental anxiety, patient-centered design, kota banda aceh.

The high prevalence of oral and dental health problems in Indonesia, including Aceh Province, indicates a significant gap between the demand for dental care and the availability of adequate healthcare services. The 2023 Indonesia Health Survey (Survei Kesehatan Indonesia/SKI) reported that more than half of the population aged three years and above experienced oral and dental health complaints, yet only a small proportion received professional dental treatment. As the primary healthcare hub in Aceh Province, Banda Aceh City currently lacks a Dental and Oral Hospital capable of providing comprehensive services while also addressing patients psychological well-being. This condition is further exacerbated by the high prevalence of dental anxiety, which contributes to reduced dental visits and delays in receiving treatment. This architectural design research aims to propose a concept for a Dental and Oral Hospital in Banda Aceh City using a neuroarchitecture approach. Neuroarchitecture is a neuroscience-based design approach that incorporates natural lighting, biophilic design, acoustic control, harmonious spatial proportions, and effective wayfinding strategies to reduce stress and enhance the patient experience. The design methodology includes a literature review, site analysis, user studies, precedent studies, and the development of a space program in accordance with the standards established by the Indonesian Ministry of Health (Permenkes). The proposed design demonstrates that integrating neuroarchitecture principles has the potential to improve patients' emotional comfort, enhance the efficiency of healthcare service workflows, and strengthen the hospital's role as a center for dental healthcare services, education, and research in Aceh. Therefore, this design is expected to serve as a model for the future development of more humane, responsive, and sustainable Dental and Oral Hospitals.
