Kopi arabika (coffea arabica l) merupakan salah satu jenis kopi yang dibudidayakan dan menjadi sumber pendapatan utama bagi sebagian besar masyarakat gayo. sistem budidaya kopi arabika dan lamtoro merupakan salah satu bentuk agroforestri yang mengintegrasikan tanaman kopi sebagai komoditas utama dengan lamtoro. produktivitas tanaman kopi kerap menurun akibat serangan organisme pengganggu tanaman, salah satunya kutu loncat lamtoro (heteropsylla cubana). salah satu predator alami yang berperan penting dalam pengendalian h. cubana adalah curinus coeruleus atau kumbang biru metalik. penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penyebaran dan populasi predator curinus coeruleus serta dampaknya terhadap h. cubana pada perkebunan kopi arabika di kabupaten gayo lues. penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan perkebunan kopi rakyat yang terdapat di desa penggalangan, kecamatan blang kejeren, desa penosan, kecamatan blang jerango, dan desa blang bengkik, kecamatan blang pegayon, kabupaten gayo lues, serta di laboratorium ilmu hama tumbuhan fakultas pertanian universitas syiah kuala. penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan januari sampai juni 2026. penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. pengamatan dilakukan menggunakan metode hand collection, sweeping net, penyungkupan (caging), serta perangkap hormon eugenol sintetis. peubah yang diamati meliputi jumlah c. coeruleus pada tanaman kopi dan tanaman lamtoro, jumlah h. cubana pada tanaman lamtoro menggunakan metode sweeping net dan penyungkupan, intensitas serangan h. cubana pada tanaman lamtoro, serta sebaran c. coeruleus dan h. cubana pada lokasi penelitian. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa populasi predator c. coeruleus pada tanaman kopi yang diamati menggunakan metode hand collection berbeda nyata antar lokasi. populasi tertinggi ditemukan di desa penosan yaitu 1,41 individu. sedangkan populasi terendah di desa penggalangan 1,08 individu. seadangkan pada tanaman lamtoro, populasi tertinggi terdapat di desa penosan sebesar 1,39 individu, sedangkan populasi terendah di desa penggalangan sebesar 0,58 individu. populasi h. cubana pada tanaman lamtoro yang diamati menggunakan metode sweeping net menunjukkan populasi tertinggi di desa penosan dan desa blang bengkik, masing-masing sebesar 0,39 individu, sedangkan populasi terendah terdapat di desa penggalangan sebesar 0,28 individu. berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa desa penosan memiliki populasi predator c. coeruleus dan populasi h. cubana yang relatif lebih tinggi dibandingkan lokasi lainnya, sedangkan perangkap hormon eugenol sintetis belum efektif untuk mendeteksi atau menarik keberadaan predator c. coeruleus di lapangan.



Abstract

Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica L.) is one type of coffee cultivated and is the main source of income for most Gayo people. The Arabica coffee and lamtoro cultivation system is a form of agroforestry that integrates coffee plants as the main commodity with lamtoro. Coffee plant productivity often decreases due to attacks by plant pests, one of which is the lamtoro psyllid (Heteropsylla cubana). One of the natural predators that plays an important role in controlling H. cubana is Curinus coeruleus or the metallic blue beetle. This study aims to analyze the distribution and population of the predator Curinus coeruleus and its impact on H. cubana on Arabica coffee plantations in Gayo Lues Regency. This research was conducted in smallholder coffee plantations located in Penggalangan Village, Blang Kejeren District, Penosan Village, Blang Jerango District, and Blang Bengkik Village, Blang Pegayon District, Gayo Lues Regency, as well as in the Plant Pest Science Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University. The study was conducted from January to June 2026. This study used a survey method with a purposive sampling technique. Observations were made using hand collection, sweeping net, caging, and synthetic eugenol hormone traps. The variables observed included the number of C. coeruleus on coffee and lamtoro plants, the number of H. cubana on lamtoro plants using the sweeping net and caging methods, the intensity of H. cubana attacks on lamtoro plants, and the distribution of C. coeruleus and H. cubana at the study site. The results showed that the population of C. coeruleus predators on coffee plants observed using the hand collection method differed significantly between locations. The highest population was found in Penosan Village, namely 1.41 individuals. while the lowest population was in Penggalangan Village, namely 1.08 individuals. Meanwhile, in lamtoro plants, the highest population was found in Penosan Village, namely 1.39 individuals, while the lowest population was in Penggalangan Village, namely 0.58 individuals. The population of H. cubana in lamtoro plants observed using the sweeping net method showed the highest population in Penosan Village and Blang Bengkik Village, each at 0.39 individuals, while the lowest population was in Penggalangan Village at 0.28 individuals. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that Penosan Village has a relatively higher population of C. coeruleus predators and H. cubana populations compared to other locations, while synthetic eugenol hormone traps have not been effective in detecting or attracting the presence of C. coeruleus predators in the field.
