RENA TAIRA ARFEL, PRARANCANGAN PABRIK MONOSODIUM GLUTAMAT (MSG) DARI SIRUP GLUKOSA JAGUNG KAPASITAS 60.000 TON/TAHUN. Banda Aceh ,

Kebutuhan monosodium glutamate (msg) di indonesia hingga saat ini masih belum dapat dipenuhi sepenuhnya oleh kapasitas produksi domestik, sehingga impor msg terus mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya. kondisi ini mendorong perlunya perancangan pabrik msg baru guna mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap produk impor sekaligus mendukung pengembangan industri kimia berbasis fermentasi di indonesia. berdasarkan proyeksi kebutuhan impor msg pada tahun 2030 menggunakan metode pertumbuhan rata-rata tahunan (average growth rate), pabrik dirancang dengan kapasitas produksi 60.000 ton/tahun, beroperasi selama 330 hari per tahun secara kontinu 24 jam sehari. pabrik direncanakan berlokasi di kecamatan krembangan, kabupaten sidoarjo, provinsi jawa timur, dengan luas lahan 7,54 ha, mempertimbangkan kedekatan dengan sumber bahan baku sirup glukosa jagung, pasar, sumber air, serta infrastruktur transportasi. hasil analisis ekonomi menunjukkan nilai 1. fixed capital investment (fci) = rp 5.138.216.076.425,- 2. working capital investment (wci) = rp 906.744.013.486,- 3. total capital investment (tci) = rp 6.044.960.089.912,- 4. total production cost (tpc) = rp 3.099.279.991.767,- 5. total sales (ts) = rp 3.940.372.578.545,- 6. laba bersih = rp 857.436.030.348,- 7. pay out time (pot) = 5,60 tahun (5 tahun 7 bulan) 8. break event point (bep) = 51% 9. internal rate of return (irr) = 17,31% berdasarkan hasil tersebut, prarancangan pabrik monosodium glutamate dari sirup glukosa jagung dengan kapasitas 60.000 ton/tahun ini dinyatakan layak untuk dilanjutkan ke tahap perancangan. kata kunci: monosodium glutamate, sirup glukosa jagung, fermentasi, corynebacterium glutamicum, prarancangan pabrik

Abstract

The demand for Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) in Indonesia has not been fully met by domestic production capacity, causing MSG imports to increase steadily each year. This condition necessitates the design of a new MSG plant to reduce dependence on imported products while supporting the development of Indonesia's fermentation-based chemical industry. Based on a projection of Indonesia's MSG import demand for 2030 using the average growth rate method, the plant is designed with a production capacity of 60,000 tons/year, operating continuously 24 hours a day for 330 days per year. The plant is planned to be located in Krembangan District, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java Province, on a 7.54-hectare site, considering its proximity to the corn glucose syrup feedstock supply, the target market, water sources, and transportation infrastructure. 1. Fixed Capital Investment (FCI) = Rp 5,138,216,076,425.- 2. Working Capital Investment (WCI) = Rp 906,744,013,486.- 3. Total Capital Investment (TCI) = Rp 6,044,960,089,912.- 4. Total Production Cost (TPC) = Rp 3,099,279,991,767.- 5. Total Sales (TS) = Rp 3,940,72,578,545.- 6. Net Profit = Rp 857,436,030,348.- 7. Pay Out Time (POT) = 5.60 years (5 years 7 month) 8. Break Event Point (BEP) = 51% 9. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 17.31% Based on these results, the pre-design of the Monosodium Glutamate plant from corn glucose syrup with a capacity of 60,000 tons/year is considered feasible to proceed to the detailed design stage.
