Abstract

Childhood obesity is a growing health issue influenced by various factors, one of which is physical activity. Low levels of physical activity can lead to an imbalance between energy intake and expenditure, thereby increasing the risk of obesity. This study aimed to determine the relationship between physical activity and obesity among students at SDTQ Nurun Nabi Banda Aceh. An observational analytic method with a cross-sectional design was employed. The study sample consisted of 54 sixth-grade students selected using a total sampling technique. Physical activity data were collected using the Physical Activity Questionnaire for Children (PAQ-C), while obesity status was determined based on the Body Mass Index-for-age (BMI-for-age) using WHO AnthroPlus standards. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods, specifically the Spearman Rank correlation test, with a significance level of p
