Pancing ulur (hand line) merupakan alat tangkap tradisional yang banyak digunakan oleh nelayan di pulo nasi, kecamatan pulo aceh, kabupaten aceh besar. alat tangkap ini dinilai efektif, berbiaya rendah, dan ramah lingkungan sehingga menjadi pilihan utama nelayan skala kecil di wilayah tersebut. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh ukuran mata pancing ulur terhadap jumlah dan berat hasil tangkapan ikan di perairan pulo nasi. penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 25 hari pengoperasian aktif di perairan pulo nasi, aceh besar. metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dengan membandingkan dua ukuran mata pancing, yaitu ukuran nomor 10 dan nomor 12. pengoperasian dilakukan pada kedalaman perairan karang dengan menggunakan kapal motor kecil. data hasil tangkapan yang dikumpulkan meliputi jumlah individu, panjang total (cm), dan berat basah (gram) setiap ikan yang tertangkap. analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji anova satu arah (analysis of variance) untuk mengetahui pengaruh ukuran mata pancing terhadap hasil tangkapan, dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ukuran mata pancing berpengaruh nyata (p



Abstract

Hand line fishing is a traditional fishing gear widely used by fishermen in Pulo Nasi, Pulo Aceh District, Aceh Besar Regency. This fishing gear is considered effective, low-cost, and environmentally friendly, making it the primary choice for small-scale fishermen in the area. This study aimed to analyze the effect of hand line hook size on the number and weight of fish catches in the waters of Pulo Nasi. The research was conducted over 25 days of active fishing operations in Pulo Nasi waters, Aceh Besar. An experimental method was applied by comparing two hook sizes, namely size No. 10 and No. 12. Fishing operations were carried out in coral reef waters using a small motorized boat. Catch data collected included the number of individuals, total length (cm), and wet weight (g) of each fish caught. Data were analyzed using a one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to determine the effect of hook size on catch results at a 5% significance level.
