Combine harvester merupakan mesin pertanian yang berfungsi memisahkan batang, daun, dan butir padi sehingga proses panen menjadi lebih cepat. penggunaan combine harvester merupakan inovasi yang dianggap mampu menghemat waktu panen hingga 50% dibandingkan dengan cara manual, serta menekan kehilangan hasil panen hingga di bawah 2%. pemanenan padi secara manual menggunakan sabit dinilai kurang efisien dan berisiko menimbulkan kehilangan hasil panen, sehingga pemerintah mendorong penggunaan combine harvester. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbandingan hasil panen dan pendapatan usahatani padi sawah antara petani yang menggunakan sistem panen manual dan combine harvester di kecamatan meureubo kabupaten aceh barat. penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. data dianalisis menggunakan analisis pendapatan dan uji independent sample t-test. penelitian ini dilaksanakan di empat desa, yaitu desa peunaga rayeuk, gunong kleng, pasi aceh baroh, dan pasi aceh tunong. dengan jumlah sampel ditentukan menggunakan rumus slovin sebanyak 75 petani, yang terdiri dari 37 petani sistem panen manual dan 38 petani combine harvester, yang dipilih menggunakan teknik disproportionate stratified sampling. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil panen petani combine harvester sebesar 4.643 kg/ha, lebih tinggi dibandingkan petani panen manual sebesar 4.223 kg/ha dengan selisih sebesar 419 kg/ha. rata-rata pendapatan bersih petani combine harvester sebesar rp12.043.808/ha, lebih tinggi dibandingkan petani panen manual sebesar rp6.262.177/ha dengan selisih sebesar rp5.781.631/ha. hal ini dibuktikan secara statistik melalu uji independent sample t-test pada variabel hasil panen dengan nilai signifikansi 0,032 dan pada variabel pendapatan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000. artinya hasil panen dan pendapatan usahatani padi sawah yang menggunakan combine harvester lebih tinggi dibandingkan usahatani padi sawah yang menggunakan sistem panen manual.



Abstract

A combine harvester is an agricultural machine designed to separate the stalks, leaves, and grains of rice, thereby speeding up the harvesting process. The use of combine harvesters is an innovation believed to reduce harvesting time by up to 50% compared to manual methods and minimize crop loss to less than 2%. Manual rice harvesting using sickles is considered inefficient and carries the risk of crop loss; therefore, the government encourages the use of combine harvesters. This study aims to analyze a comparison of crop yields and income from irrigated rice farming between farmers who use manual harvesting and those who use combine harvesters in Meureubo Subdistrict, West Aceh Regency. This study employed a quantitative method. The data were analyzed using income analysis and the independent samples t-test. The study was conducted in four villages: Peunaga Rayeuk, Gunong Kleng, Pasi Aceh Baroh, and Pasi Aceh Tunong. The sample size was determined using the Slovin formula to include 75 farmers, comprising 37 farmers using the manual harvesting system and 38 farmers using combine harvesters, selected via disproportionate stratified sampling. The research results show that the average yield for farmers using combine harvesters was 4,643 kg/ha, higher than that of farmers using manual harvesting methods at 4,223 kg/ha, with a difference of 419 kg/ha. The average net income for farmers using combine harvesters was Rp12,043,808/ha, higher than that of farmers using manual harvesting at Rp6,262,177/ha, with a difference of Rp5,781,631/ha. This was statistically proven through an Independent Sample T-Test on the yield variable with a significance value of 0.032 and on the income variable with a significance value of 0.000. This means that the yield and income from irrigated rice farming using combine harvesters are higher than those from irrigated rice farming using manual harvesting systems.
