Sitologi vagina merupakan salah satu metode sederhana yang dapat digunakan untuk mengevaluasi status reproduksi sapi melalui perubahan komposisi sel epitel vagina. penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbedaan jumlah sel epitel swab vagina sapi bali (bos sondaicus) pada fase estrus hingga awal kebuntingan. penelitian menggunakan 12 ekor sapi bali betina yang diamati secara berulang pada hari ke-0, 7, 14, 21, dan 28 pasca inseminasi buatan. preparat swab vagina diwarnai dengan giemsa 10% dan diamati secara mikroskopis untuk menghitung jumlah sel parabasal, basal, intermediet, superfisial, dan kornifikasi. data dianalisis menggunakan repeated measures anova dan uji lanjut bonferroni. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa waktu pengamatan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap jumlah seluruh jenis sel epitel vagina (p



Abstract

Vaginal cytology is a simple method that can be used to evaluate the reproductive status of cattle through changes in vaginal epithelial cell composition. This study aimed to determine differences in vaginal epithelial cell counts of Bali cattle (Bos sondaicus) during the transition from estrus to early pregnancy. Twelve female Bali cattle were observed repeatedly on days 0, 7, 14, 21, and 28 after artificial insemination. Vaginal swab smears were stained with Giemsa 10% and examined microscopically to determine the numbers of parabasal, basal, intermediate, superficial, and cornified cells.
