Infeksi parasit trypanosoma evansi dapat menyebabkan kerusakan jaringan pada limpa melalui mekanisme stres oksidatif. daun malaka (phyllanthus emblica) mengandung polifenol dan tanin yang berpotensi menjadi zat antioksidan dan antiinflamasi untuk meminimalkan kerusakan sel. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh infusa daun malaka terhadap gambaran histopatologi limpa pada tikus putih yang diinfeksi t. evansi. penelitian dilakukan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (ral) dengan lima kelompok perlakuan: kontrol negatif (k-), kontrol positif (k+), serta tiga kelompok dosis terapi, yaitu 300 mg/kg bb (p1), 600 mg/kg kg bb (p2), dan 1200 mg/kg bb (p3). parameter kerusakan yang diamati meliputi nekrosis, hemosiderin, amiloid dan giant cell yang dihitung menggunakan software imageraster. data dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji anova dan uji lanjut games-howell. hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa pemberian infusa daun malaka secara signifikan (p

Abstract
Infection with the parasite Trypanosoma evansi can cause tissue damage to the spleen via oxidative stress. Malacca leaves (Phyllanthus emblica) contain polyphenols and tannins, which have the potential to act as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agents to minimize cellular damage. This study aims to determine the effect of Malacca leaf infusion on the histopathological profile of the spleen in white rats infected with T. evansi. The research was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatment groups: negative control (K-), positive control (K+), and three therapeutic dose groups: 300 mg/kg bw (P1), 600 mg/kg bw (P2), and 1200 mg/kg bw (P3). The observed damage parameters included necrosis, hemosiderin, amyloid, and giant cells, which were calculated using ImageRaster software. Data were analyzed using ANOVA, followed by the Games-Howell post hoc test. The results revealed that the administration of Malacca leaf infusion significantly (P < 0.05) reduced the damage in spleens infected by T. evansi. The 1200 dose (P3) was the optimal dose capable of reducing spleen damage. Thus, Malacca leaf extract has strong potential as a tissue-protective agent against the pathological impacts of T. evansi infection.
