Sharah Balqia, PERBANDINGAN EFEKTIVITAS INFILTRASI ROPIVAKAIN 0,375% DAN KETAMIN 0,5 MG/KGBB TERHADAP SKOR NYERI NRS PADA PASIEN LAPAROTOMI.

Abstract

Background: Post-laparotomy pain remains common problem and can even progress to chronic pain. Agents such as ropivacaine have been widely used due to their low toxicity profile. Besides ropivacaine, ketamine is also frequently used as regional and local anesthetic agent, proven effective in pain management, whether used alone or in combination with other anesthetic agents. Due to the limited number of studies available, the authors were interested in examining the analgesic effects of ropivacaine infiltration compared with ketamine infiltration in post-laparotomy patients, who then measured pain intensity using the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS). Objective: The general objective of this study was to determine the effectiveness 0.375% ropivacaine infiltration and 0.5 mg/kgBW ketamine infiltration and their effects on NRS pain scores in post-laparotomy patients. Methods: This study used a randomized controlled trial (RCT) design, with two groups: 0.375% ropivacaine infiltration and ketamine infiltration. The study subjects were patients undergoing laparotomy procedures who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The observed outcomes were NRS scores at 0, 6, 12, and 24 hours postoperatively. This was a single-blind study with simple randomization. Results: Ropivacaine effectively reduced post-laparotomy pain intensity (p
