Ikan gurami (osphronemus gouramy) merupakan komoditas ikan air tawar yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi, namun biaya pakan yang besar menjadi kendala dalam budidayanya. salah satu alternatif untuk mengurangi penggunaan tepung ikan sebagai sumber protein adalah pemanfaatan tepung keong bakau (telescopium telescopium). penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung keong bakau dalam pakan terhadap pertumbuhan benih ikan gurami. penelitian dilaksanakan pada oktober 2025 di laboratorium pembenihan dan pembiakkan ikan, fakultas kelautan dan perikanan, universitas syiah kuala, banda aceh. analisis proksimat dilakukan di balai standardisasi dan pelayanan jasa industri (bspji) banda aceh. metode yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (ral) dengan empat perlakuan dan empat ulangan, yaitu p1 (0%), p2 (10%), p3 (20%), dan p4 (30%) tepung keong bakau dalam pakan. benih ikan gurami dipelihara selama 28 hari. parameter yang diamati meliputi uji proksimat pakan, uji fisik pakan, berat mutlak, panjang mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik (sgr), rasio konversi pakan (fcr), efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan (ep), tingkat kelangsungan hidup (sr), kualitas air, serta uji proksimat dan fisik pakan. data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan analisis ragam (anova). hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tepung keong bakau memiliki kandungan protein sebesar 63% dan mampu meningkatkan kadar protein pakan hingga 33,4%. penambahan tepung keong bakau tidak berpengaruh nyata (p>0,05) terhadap berat mutlak, panjang mutlak, fcr, ep, dan sr, namun penambahan tepung keong bakau memberikan pengaruh nyata (p



Abstract

Gourami (Osphronemus gouramy) is a freshwater fish commodity with high economic value; however, the high cost of feed remains a major constraint in its culture. One alternative to reduce the use of fish meal as a protein source is the utilization of mangrove snail meal (Telescopium telescopium). This study aimed to evaluate the effect of mangrove snail meal inclusion in feed on the growth performance of gourami fingerlings. The research was conducted in October 2025 at the Hatchery and Fish Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh. Proximate analysis was carried out at the Center for Standardization and Industrial Services (BSPJI), Banda Aceh. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was applied with four treatments and four replications, namely P1 (0%), P2 (10%), P3 (20%), and P4 (30%) mangrove snail meal inclusion levels in the feed. Gourami fingerlings were reared for 28 days. The parameters observed included feed proximate analysis, feed physical quality testing, absolute weight gain, absolute length gain, specific growth rate (SGR), feed conversion ratio (FCR), feed utilization efficiency (FE), survival rate (SR), water quality, as well as proximate and physical analyses of the feed. The data were analyzed descriptively and using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed that mangrove snail meal contained 63% protein and was able to increase the dietary protein content up to 33.4%. The inclusion of mangrove snail meal had no significant effect (P>0.05) on absolute weight gain, absolute length gain, FCR, FE, and SR.
