[skripsi. universitas syiah kuala]. di bawah bimbingan drs. abu bakar, m.si. dan nurbaity, s.pd., m.ed. kesulitan belajar masih menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang banyak dialami siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan dapat memengaruhi perkembangan akademik maupun psikologis. kesulitan belajar tidak hanya ditandai oleh rendahnya hasil belajar, tetapi juga mencakup hambatan pada aspek perkembangan, behavioral, dan kognitif yang berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan siswa dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kesulitan belajar siswa smp negeri 14 takengon. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa smp negeri 14 takengon, dengan sampel sebanyak 102 siswa yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan skala kesulitan belajar yang disusun berdasarkan aspek perkembangan, behavioral, dan kognitif. data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesulitan belajar siswa smp negeri 14 takengon secara umum berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase sebesar 64%. berdasarkan aspek perkembangan, behavioral, dan kognitif, sebagian besar siswa juga berada pada kategori sedang. selain itu, ditemukan perbedaan tingkat kesulitan belajar berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan tingkat kelas, di mana siswa laki-laki cenderung memiliki tingkat kesulitan belajar yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa perempuan. berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat kesulitan belajar siswa smp negeri 14 takengon secara umum berada pada kategori sedang, sehingga diperlukan perhatian, pendampingan, serta layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang sesuai untuk membantu siswa mengatasi hambatan belajar dan mengoptimalkan perkembangan belajarnya. kata kunci: kesulitan belajar, siswa smp, aspek perkembangan, behavioral, kognitif.



Abstract

Abu Bakar, M.Si. and Nurbaity, S.Pd., M.Ed. Learning difficulties remain one of the most common problems experienced by students during the learning process and may adversely affect their academic achievement as well as their psychological development. These difficulties are not only reflected in low academic performance but also involve obstacles in students' developmental, behavioral, and cognitive aspects, which may hinder their participation in the learning process. This study aimed to describe the level of learning difficulties among students at SMP Negeri 14 Takengon. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach. The population consisted of students at SMP Negeri 14 Takengon, with a sample of 102 students selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected using a Learning Difficulties Scale developed based on developmental, behavioral, and cognitive aspects. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The findings revealed that the overall level of students' learning difficulties was categorized as moderate, with a percentage of 64%. In terms of developmental, behavioral, and cognitive aspects, most students were also classified in the moderate category. Furthermore, differences in learning difficulties were found based on gender and grade level, with male students tending to experience higher levels of learning difficulties than female students. It can therefore be concluded that the learning difficulties of students at SMP Negeri 14 Takengon are generally at a moderate level. Therefore, appropriate attention, guidance, and counseling services are needed to assist students in overcoming learning barriers and optimizing their learning development.
