Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan menulis puisi siswa kelas iv sd negeri 6 gandapura kabupaten bireuen pada materi puisi kontemporer serta kurang optimalnya keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran think talk write (ttw), (2) mendeskripsikan aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran menulis puisi melalui penerapan model think talk write (ttw), (3) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar keterampilan menulis puisi siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran think talk write (ttw). penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (ptk) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. subjek penelitian berjumlah 23 siswa kelas iv sd negeri 6 gandapura kabupaten bireuen tahun ajaran 2025/2026. data dikumpulkan melalui observasi aktivitas guru dan aktivitas siswa serta tes keterampilan menulis puisi. data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas guru meningkat dari 87,5% pada siklus i menjadi 97,91% pada siklus ii dengan kategori sangat baik. aktivitas siswa meningkat dari 72,72% menjadi 90,90% dengan kategori sangat baik. ketuntasan klasikal keterampilan menulis puisi juga meningkat dari 56,52% pada siklus i menjadi 82,61% pada siklus ii. berdasarkan temuan tersebut, penerapan model think talk write (ttw) dapat meningkatkan aktivitas pembelajaran dan keterampilan menulis puisi kontemporer siswa kelas iv sd negeri 6 gandapura kabupaten bireuen. kata kunci: think talk write (ttw), keterampilan menulis puisi, puisi kontemporer.

Abstract
This study was motivated by the low poetry writing skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 6 Gandapura in Bireuen Regency regarding contemporary poetry, as well as the students’ suboptimal engagement in the learning process. This study aims to (1) describe teachers’ activitiesin implementing the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model, (2) describe students’ activities during the poetry-writing learning process through the implementation of the Think Talk Write (TTW) model, and (3) determine the improvement in students’ poetry-writing skills following the implementation of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model. This study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) project conducted over two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 23 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 6 Gandapura, Bireuen Regency, for the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through observations of teacher and student activities as well as poetry writing skill tests. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative. The results showed that teacher activity increased from 87.5% in Cycle I to 97.91% in Cycle II, falling into the “very good” category. Student activity increased from 72.72% to 90.90%, also falling into the “very good” category. The class-wide mastery of poetry writing skills also increased from 56.52% in Cycle I to 82.61% in Cycle II. Based on these findings, the implementation of the Think Talk Write (TTW) model can improve learning activities and contemporary poetry writing skills among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 6 Gandapura, Bireuen Regency.
