[skripsi. universitas syiah kuala]. dibawah bimbingan dr. muhammad yunus, s.pd., m.pd. dan ridayani s.h., m.h. penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih terjadinya berbagai bentuk kekerasan di lingkungan sekolah, seperti kekerasan verbal, perundungan (bullying), diskriminasi, dan intoleransi yang berpotensi mengganggu keamanan, kenyamanan, serta perkembangan peserta didik. selain itu, implementasi program pencegahan dan penanganan kekerasan di sekolah masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti kurang optimalnya pengawasan, koordinasi antarpihak, dan pelaksanaan kebijakan yang telah ditetapkan. penelitian ini bertujuan (1) untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis upaya pencegahan kekerasan serta (2) mengetahui dan menganalisis mekanisme penanganan kekerasan di sma kota banda aceh. penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. penelitian dilaksanakan di sma negeri 1 banda aceh, sma negeri 4 banda aceh, sma negeri 8 banda aceh, dan sma 10 fajar harapan banda aceh. subjek penelitian terdiri atas kepala sekolah atau wakil kepala sekolah, guru, siswa, dan orang tua siswa yang dipilih secara purposive. data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model miles, huberman, dan saldana melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) upaya pencegahan kekerasan dilakukan melalui pendidikan karakter, pengawasan guru, penguatan tata tertib sekolah, sosialisasi anti-kekerasan, serta kerja sama antara sekolah dan orang tua. sementara itu, (2) penanganan kekerasan dilakukan melalui mekanisme pelaporan, mediasi, konseling, pendampingan korban, dan pembinaan edukatif bagi pelaku dengan melibatkan pihak sekolah, orang tua, dan instansi terkait. penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa (1) pencegahan dan penanganan kekerasan di sma kota banda aceh telah dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan preventif, edukatif, dan kolaboratif yang melibatkan sekolah, keluarga, dan pihak terkait. (2) namun, pelaksanaannya masih memerlukan peningkatan pengawasan, penguatan koordinasi dan komunikasi antarpihak, serta optimalisasi implementasi kebijakan guna mewujudkan lingkungan sekolah yang aman, nyaman, inklusif, dan bebas dari kekerasan. penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat mengembangkan kajian mengenai kekerasan di lingkungan pendidikan dengan cakupan wilayah yang lebih luas dan fokus yang lebih spesifik, seperti cyberbullying, kekerasan seksual, atau efektivitas implementasi kebijakan anti-kekerasan di sekolah, serta menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif atau mixed methods agar diperoleh data yang lebih komprehensif. kata kunci: pencegahan kekerasan, penanganan kekerasan, sma kota banda aceh.

This study was motivated by the continued occurrence of various forms of violence in school settings, such as verbal abuse, bullying, discrimination, and intolerance, which have the potential to disrupt the safety, comfort, and development of students. Furthermore, the implementation of violence prevention and response programs in schools still faces various challenges, such as suboptimal supervision, coordination among stakeholders, and the implementation of established policies. This study aims to (1) identify and analyze violence prevention efforts and (2) identify and analyze violence response mechanisms in high schools in Banda Aceh. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research was conducted at State High School 1 Banda Aceh, State High School 4 Banda Aceh, State High School 8 Banda Aceh, and Fajar Harapan High School 10 Banda Aceh. The research subjects consisted of school principals or vice principals, teachers, students, and parents, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via semi-structured interviews and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that (1) violence prevention efforts are carried out through character education, teacher supervision, strengthening of school discipline, anti-violence awareness campaigns, and cooperation between schools and parents. Meanwhile, (2) violence response is carried out through reporting mechanisms, mediation, counseling, victim support, and educational guidance for perpetrators, involving schools, parents, and relevant agencies. This study concludes that (1) the prevention and management of violence in high schools in Banda Aceh have been implemented through preventive, educational, and collaborative approaches involving schools, families, and relevant parties. (2) However, the implementation still requires improved supervision, strengthened coordination and communication among parties, and the optimization of policy implementation to create a safe, comfortable, inclusive, and violence-free school environment. Future research is expected to develop studies on violence in educational settings with a broader geographical scope and more specific focuses, such as cyberbullying, sexual violence, or the effectiveness of anti-violence policy implementation in schools, and to use quantitative or mixed-methods approaches to obtain more comprehensive data.
